    Although China has a large population, it is very orderly, with everything well-organized. It is so neat, clean, and beautiful, unlike many countries in the world where a large population leads to chaos. This includes the United States, which often faces many crimes and issues with homelessness. The subway system in the U.S. is often described as dirty and disorganized, a point frequently mentioned by Americans.

      In China, some areas retain the architectural features of the previous time, but you can look in the cities, it's all brand new buildings.

    Foreigners are often confused, yes, the first class is a bit more spacious than the second class, but the business class is the best on high-speed trains, you can really lie down and sleep, only a few seats per carriage,If the city has a subway, it is recommended to choose a hotel near the subway station to stay, so you will save a lot of time

    • @BenjiSun
      @BenjiSun 2 дня назад +3

      not just foreigners, it can be confusing for locals too who aren't used to it. it's a bit different for train classes. a better naming system in English should be "Executive", "Class 1", "Class 2". since hotel "executive floors" aren't called "business class", but they're the same in Chinese.

    Tiger Hill is a bit far from where all the traditional gardens and the center of the city. But you may take a boat ride from Tiger Hill to ShangTang Street (山塘街). The ride is very beautiful.
    In addition to what people have already suggested, you should consider visiting 网师园 at night, where 6 forms of traditional local music are performed (sampled). It’s a very unique experience, even for Chinese people from other regions.
    SuZhou is famous for well maintained traditional and historical family gardens where famous Chinese writers, poets, interlectures, and retired government officials…had lived comfortably and created long lasting arts and literatures.

    I think the most famous thing of suzhou is the traditional gardens. Make sure you go to their gardens there. You'll find different beautiful scenery there.
    By the way,Suzhou is also famous for its delicious crab. Now october is the best season to eat crab. You can try the crab, if you don't mind. I think most restaurants there have crabs on the menu during these days.

In the afternoon, take a walk at Shantangjie or Ping Jiang Road to feel the epitome of ancient Suzhou. The food in this video is more like szechuan food. Make sure to try some authentic local food! Authentic Morning Noodles at local noodle restaurants for breakfast.

    San Marino of Los Angeles County has built a Chinese Garden in the Huntington Library after the Suzhou Garden House style. I visited Suzhou a few years ago and definitely enjoyed their authentic garden houses. 5 minutes from my house here in Los Angeles county is the Huntington Library with the Suzhou styled Chinese garden in the Huntington Library. I believe they built all the material in China and then shipped them over to assemble them in Huntington Library. Enjoy your trip. ❤❤❤

    if you are taking a short distance high speed rail like from suzhou/hangzhou to shanghai, try business class once. the price difference isn't that much for short distance travel so you can get the experience for cheap. you get use of the business lounge and all the queue skipping 😆
    you guys are just in the suburbs. personally I like to say a bit away from the center myself as long as there's a metro stop nearby. things are cheaper and more authentic plus it's a nice quiet retreat after a long day sightseeing in busy tourist areas.

It’s one of China’s most important manufacturing centres ( another ones are Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen), it’s also the largest river based harbour on this earth, as well as a cultural landmark in China.

    I am suprised that Suzhou is not as popular among Western tourists. However, the region including Suzhou and Hangzhou has been one of the most affluent and educationally advanced areas in China for thousands of years. It has a rich cultural life and thriving economic activity, far from the political centers of Beijing or other southern regions. As a result, it lacks the rigid royal or aristocratic atmosphere, but its culture and education have flourished, producing many of the most famous writers and politicians.

    😀😀😀 I believe the guy was not ignoring Luke. He probably thought Luke was talking to someone online, and he left quietly not to interfere Luke's online conversation.

    I am from Indonesia , I can understand that is a very good translator tool. When I was a tour leader decades ago, I used to go to Shanghai, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi and a lot of other destinations.
