I agree with a lot of what you mentioned, including the fact his power shouldn't be used during loops. He's really fun, and the fact he's gonna get some changes soon makes me real excited.
So what I'm hearing is perks that work with him are perks that take out pallets. Enduring, Brutal strengths, Monitor and Abuse, Dragon's Grip. EBS, as I call it, deals with pallets, MaA to find people with rush, and Dragon's grip in case you can't find them. Dragon's grip can be swap for some things I just couldn't find a good perk for him. Thoughts? Edit: BBQ and chili instead of Dragon's grip might be much better
I don’t really care about his current state he looks like a fun challenge to learn him, and i’ve seen the clips where he works and it’s so satisfying as well. So overall his strength doesn’t matter to me, he’s still capable of a 4k, like all killers are. I don’t think winning is my goal when playing anyway, sure it makes the experience way more enjoyable, but me personally, I just enjoy learning the mechanics of a killer, which is why I buy all of them and level them all up to at least level 15, that way they can at least be semi-viable at my rank. I just enjoy playing as the the killer. Sincerely, a yellow rank slowly climbing.
The corner crouch occasionally does work for me but only on killers who don't pay close attention to detail I won't try it unless Ive been in a chase with them before and have gotten a understanding on how they think

@@doublelizard767 Before, survivors could float mid air when they were hooked, basement hooks even put the survivor ABOVE the actual basement! But that doesn't matter really, because you found bugs that should've been fixed a long time ago aswell xD
blight is too hard to compare to the performance it gives in return and especially the pleasures AND a VERY important point is currently the survivors do not know how to play against ...
Something I've noticed watching a LOT of videos of people playing the blight, that I haven't seen anyone actually notice in those videos: the camera when you are carrying a survivor looks like it's higher than the camera when he isn't carrying. Like it literally rises up like a foot taller, when you pick them up, and drops again when you hook or put them down.
The upstairs stealth play the Jake tried to make has never worked for me before, but there is a spot you can crawl down onto the rocks on the other side that I like to use sometimes!
The 1st person view of Blight reminds me of Dr. Jekyll/Mr.Hyde. Especially with his short stature, cane, and injecting of his serum. It would really cool if we got a Hyde skin down the line.
I pretty much agree to your opinion regarding his power. However, waiting between his dash and the power not being used in tiles he still feels clunky to play regardless of his strength. Imo this killer has his issues in UX rather than his strength it self and I hope that the change being implemented would fix that.
I play the Spirit much the same way you play this killer. Transitioning to new pallets is the best way to utilize powers. Or ambushing gens from a long distance. That alone keeps up map pressure usually.
Turn the slam into a prompt, so The Blight can wallglide like Oni. Fix the double stun bug too. That, and give The Blight better control over his swings, kinda like the spirit’s ability. That’s all I really want.
I love your perspective on things. Instead of just jumping to conclusions and being like "I can't down them in two seconds, this killer is f tier" you actually tried to make him work. Tofu is so great, man. Truly the best vegetarian alternative.
remember, he needs his collision hitbox fixing not his overall hitboxes. if they change his killer hitbox then he becaomes better than any other basic m1 killer because he can take loops tighter than any other killer
about the jake hiding in a corner by the main building gen in mother's dwelling, it has worked for me before, but at the time I was playing blendette and there was an another surv with me on the gen so when the killer came to us he didn't notice me in the corner and started chasing the other surv after kicking the gen and not seeing me, but I haven't tried hiding there solo.
I'm not sure if it's going to make it to live but he doesn't seem to have a lengthy cooldown from missing a lethal rush lunge, making unrelenting possibly a good perk especially in dead areas, if it gets patched we'll just have to chuck unrelenting down the dumpster again
Somehow since yesterday even on live its felt like turning has been way off getting spun more than usual even tho im going with them so idk to me feels like they may have messed up hit detection with tracking or something along those lines. Referring to around 8:57 when brought up the ice skates feel. Which yeah I know thats PTB but something has felt off on live too
I have read on the forums that McLean mentioned that the changes to the Blight will be a reduction of his collision box size and a fix to his double recovery after hitting a survivor with lethal rush. Can't confirm that myself, but if that's the case, I think the Blight might end up as the next top tier killer among the likes of Hillbilly, Oni or Hag.
Yo Tofu, hiding in the corner on Mother Dwelling House Gen Upstairs works SOMETIMES. The opposite corner works better, and if you have a teammate with you, it almost always works, as the teammate baits the killer into a chase.
He literally what buffed legion should have been. Anyone that loves legion he’s literally legion that’s has access to a dash. Honestly I love how mobility. Fast moving killers just feel smooth to me. Not to mention brutal strength combined with make your choice with bbq would make him scary as all hell
An easy fix would be: if he hits wall while using power, then he cannot impact anything for 2-3 seconds, that would eliminate the constant bumping into walls over and over and over
Im glad someone finally tried playing tiles normally. Though without help mid tile, now we are comparing him to killers like legion. Hes got more free mobility to be spamming and counters initial chase distance well, but is that better than legion survivor tracking and a relatively free first hit? Maybe
Ima be honest I love this new killer and have grinded maybe too many house since he came out, his power right now can actually be really crazy for how much pressure he can put on the entire map. I’m excited to see what changes they’ll do because I already enjoy playing him atm.
Also I feel he just has a pretty difficult learning curve for his power, you can use his power in certain default tiles and even shack if there’s any sort of obstacle outside shack. I’ve played him from green to red ranks in ptb and have gotten higher swfs that I’m still able to down within jungle gyms. His power needs to be smoothed out because he’s a thick clunky boi but overall he can be actually good.
i feel like that swing thing should be oposite. If you miss a swing, syringe yourself. If you get a swing, no syringe just weapon wipe. And if you rush and dont swing no cooldown except for the normal power cooldown
They should make it so that the syring he throws is a projectile. It already has collision, just give it a hurt box. Wouldnt make him better but imagine downing someone at the exit gate cause they were hit by your herion syringe, giving you a free kill. Or something similar at a hook.
He has very good mobility, seems like he can counter sprint burst, and you can start the match and be in the opposite side of the map where survivors spawn too fast
I'm doing insanely well with him though. I am playing differently than tofu is. But I do think he might end up being top tier for killers with practice after hitbox fix. Not a nurse or spirit. But good blights will be insanely good
pags5zonda I hope not, we dont need to encourage killers with decent function but stupid design ideas. What’s next, a killer that has to smack themselves with a pallet to activate their power?
Ja Bacon the point is that this killer is recklessly sprinting at survivors to attack them like a feral beast. It’s entirely on flavor because it’s supposed to be like the alchemist’s fall from grace.
Tyler Danielewicz Then why do you have to hit walls to activate your power, huh? Being unable to hit anything on the first sprint limits him tremendously.
kingOL do you realize how broken that would be? Design is based on two factors: function and flavor, and they’re usually at odds with each other. But the funny thing about this killer is that he isn’t unflavorful how he is. Running faster =/= feral.
It seems really good that you can stop that transition but OhTufu figured that out. What happens when the survivors figure that out too? You could potentially see him flying at you and make a hard turn on a tree or obstacle, negating that distance you gained.
I think that the situation with his swing and not get a cd is kinda simillar to the Deathslinger when like he hits a survivor with his weapon and starts pulling, but in order to not get stunned by the gun effect when the survivor is about to break the chains, he swings and doesnt get that stun. At least that what i think ( but i also think that the double seringe stun shouldnt be a thing tho).
He needs like a 0.5 second grace period of no collision after every slam so you can at least free yourself from those corners and bushes when you get stuck
I feel like the power fatigue thing got switched "bugged" in the ptb... when u swing and miss you should have to inject and when u swing and hit it should just be cleaning the weapon and not both... And I would definetly say his FOV is the shortest of any killer easily. When u go kick a gen your fov is equal to a squated survivor
Swinging out your power has a cool-down already in the form of a missed attack recovery, hence no fatigue recovery. Also the double stun after a power hit is confirmed to be a bug.
Seeing him played like this, I may buy him instead of getting him with shards. He seems pretty fun now, and he kinda fits my prefered playstyle. Dont think hes gonna get anywhere near as much playtimeas my Legion, but he'll get some attention.
He should be spreading the blight to survivors. It's deadly to them, but fine for him. I envision something kinda like plague, but her vomit is a permanently decreasing bear trap survivors have to keep cleansing (like regular healing) if they come into contact with it. He can spread it by hitting, like freddy, or by infecting areas like clown (plague might be too strong). For a little extra spice, one survivor per match has blight immunity, but only they know because they will have a marker on their icon during the match. That person can completely cleanse the blight so the survivors no longer have to manage it until they get blighted again. It should take longer to heal the blight than an injury. It transfers if the person dies too. I think the immunity thing is important because that survivor has to be kind of a shield for their team.
I wonder if this is what the devs mean when they say were playing clown wrong. Maybe his power is more meant for transitions rather then fighting around the loops
22:14 so we all just gonna ignore him not doing the syringe thing by picking up jake and then its stuck to his hand? Tofu has hacks to make the gane faster and better, also actors, unsubscribing and turning off notifications
I could be wrong, but I wonder if they messed up the stun, cause like, when you hit someone while using your power, you get a sort of double stun, but missing while using your power leads to no stun. So maybe one of those was supposed to be on the miss? Rather than both being on the hit. I hope my ramble made sense lol
you say that swing thing with him may be a bug but deathslinger is the same way when he has some speared. if you dont swing you get stunned, and if you do swing you dont. granted when the chain breaks it can do a health state if their full health, but that doesn't matter when their injured.
I'm probably late to the party on this. but I assume the swinging out of your dash thing is a result of them improperly putting the stun of the dash on the successful swing instead of the failed swing. like maybe you're not supposed to inject if you hit. but they put it on the wrong one.
To me this killer would be perfect if he smaller collision, a white bar to indicate your sprint duration, (similar to Bubba) and if he carried his momentum in sprint lunges like Legion does, it just looks and feels weird to have all that speed and just slowing tf down at the swing
Imo opinion you can use it at both transitions and loops, truetalent has used the blights power at loops and got hits so you can use it at loops, just not that well. Am i crazy or is the first person camera on the blight higher than normal when you are carrying survivors to a hook?
the lethal rush hit needs to feel different though, its like with the spirit but worse for me and the tokens i think should recharge like nurse or cannibal or what do you think?
Honestly, would appreciate it if they made you slide off corners on your second and after use of the power. So you can avoid bumping into the same object's 2 pixels 3 times in a row. Obviously if you make it too forgiving you'll probably end up unable to bump into something when you want to, so it needs to be just right. But still at least a bit of tweaking would be welcome.
So Blood Favor or his add on equivalent is actually good imo for the killer since you go for hits in between tiles meaning in the 16m radius wherever you got the hit in between the tiles should be blocked
I get what you’re saying about using his power for tile transfers but having to use perk slots that aid only in chases when he has a power so suited for map pressure feels like such a missed opportunity since you could bring perks that suit his movement and pressure abilities. Just my opinion though
I just feel like for a character called the Blight, who we’ve seen in the very first tome and have been excited to come out for ages, who literally has syringes that turn people into nightmare creatures, ‘bouncing off walls’ is a pretty underwhelming power...

I've got the most mileage out of it when patrolling the map, closing the gap on a survivor in the distance, or hitting survivors who run away from the current loop i'm in.
I think you pretty well hit the broad and fine strokes of ole Spazzyboi at the moment. I am looking forward to his release build, much appreciate the vid Tofu 🤙
I love how he leans on his cane when he’s stunned that’s such a nice detail
To bad they didn't fix the survivors floating next to hooks and some times even floating above the entire dungeon xD
@@Schmorgus it's been 6 months has it been patched? Bc I hit a survivor out of hook save and the hooked survivor started floating like 10 metres from the hook.. It was also the day I got Blight and i haven't seen it before then. Or am I talkin bout somethin completely different ?
@@doublelizard767 Before, survivors could float mid air when they were hooked, basement hooks even put the survivor ABOVE the actual basement! But that doesn't matter really, because you found bugs that should've been fixed a long time ago aswell xD
blight is too hard to compare to the performance it gives in return and especially the pleasures
AND
a VERY important point is currently the survivors do not know how to play against
...
The fact that he doesn't look down when he breaks pallets is good enough for me.
24:46 I think screams are bugged on the PTB. Infectious Fright was having similar problems
Yeah infectous didnt work at all in mobile beta
For anyone who needs advice for the blight, m1 first then use rush to catch up to the injured survivor, never use it at loops
I mean.... that is obvious. Why point that out?
@@Beertraps not everyone would realize that
Literally nobody who has complained about blight’s hitboxes has meant his overall hitboxes, and if they are then I am BAFFLED
Also if you think of it. He seems to be a nurse and legion hybrid. You can even say he is the old nurse but instead of blinks he bounces of things.
about the jake hiding in a corner by the main building gen in mother's dwelling, it has worked for me before, but at the time I was playing blendette and there was an another surv with me on the gen so when the killer came to us he didn't notice me in the corner and started chasing the other surv after kicking the gen and not seeing me, but I haven't tried hiding there solo.
Everyone's abusing bbq. They should nerf that shit :P
@@Schmorgus no ones abusing bbq tf?
@@lilmisfortune423 And yet I see it every fkn day! xD
@@Schmorgus well yeah cause its a good handy perk. Theres ways to counter it
@@lilmisfortune423 Yeah I don't mind standing in lockers when the nubs get caught x) It's still better than playing against OP Doc.
They probably should fix the hight of his camera and his hitbox
An easy fix would be: if he hits wall while using power, then he cannot impact anything for 2-3 seconds, that would eliminate the constant bumping into walls over and over and over
Im glad someone finally tried playing tiles normally. Though without help mid tile, now we are comparing him to killers like legion. Hes got more free mobility to be spamming and counters initial chase distance well, but is that better than legion survivor tracking and a relatively free first hit? Maybe
Das why there's blood fury 😈
McLean: "Bounce, baby, out the door. I ain't gonna take this no more."
22:14 24:14 Picking up during the double stun also results in the syringe getting stuck in your wrist.
22:15 look at the blight's left wrist. Why is the syringe there?
Tofu, crouching in a corner works like 90% of the time for me. Only cus most killers don't check the corners, just depends on which corner.
i feel like that swing thing should be oposite.
What’s with the transformation in the teaser?? I just feel like they just put him out .. for filler or something?
Ptb. It's just a placement sound
He has very good mobility, seems like he can counter sprint burst, and you can start the match and be in the opposite side of the map where survivors spawn too fast
FINALLY a good review on blight's power
Yesterday I saw a comment of someone saying that The Blight is OP and I actually laughed out loud
Running faster =/= feral.
also for some people who dont know. The scream of the gen kicking perk is currently bugged :)
It seems really good that you can stop that transition but OhTufu figured that out. What happens when the survivors figure that out too? You could potentially see him flying at you and make a hard turn on a tree or obstacle, negating that distance you gained.
23:25 Wait, did he not wipe after dashing and missing because of DH?
I think that the situation with his swing and not get a cd is kinda simillar to the Deathslinger when like he hits a survivor with his weapon and starts pulling, but in order to not get stunned by the gun effect when the survivor is about to break the chains, he swings and doesnt get that stun. At least that what i think ( but i also think that the double seringe stun shouldnt be a thing tho).
He needs like a 0.5 second grace period of no collision after every slam so you can at least free yourself from those corners and bushes when you get stuck
Yes, the catching them as they go to next
Loop, great idea.
this is so insightfull, really helped me see blight in a new light xD
I feel like the power fatigue thing got switched "bugged" in the ptb... when u swing and miss you should have to inject and when u swing and hit it should just be cleaning the weapon and not both... And I would definetly say his FOV is the shortest of any killer easily. When u go kick a gen your fov is equal to a squated survivor
LMcKlean said the double fatigue was a bug that's already fixed
Collision has already been adjusted
swing speed during rush attack was increased
Swinging out your power has a cool-down already in the form of a missed attack recovery, hence no fatigue recovery. Also the double stun after a power hit is confirmed to be a bug.
Seeing him played like this, I may buy him instead of getting him with shards. He seems pretty fun now, and he kinda fits my prefered playstyle. Dont think hes gonna get anywhere near as much playtimeas my Legion, but he'll get some attention.
Are you sure about that
Same I love killers that can just speed up at will it feels so satisfying
So hyped for this guy to go live. His design is pretty cool. He has 6 fingers on his left hand lmfao. Interested in his story
What the hell happens to the graphics at 5:26 ? Looks funky
I think if you imagine it as he uses the walls and surface to bounce off and "parkour" off of it makes sense.
The double cooldown is a bug, confirmed by devs. Why would you have a longer cooldown than Nurse on a power thats worse?
Nurse used to have a bug that did the same thing funnily enough
I could be wrong, but I wonder if they messed up the stun, cause like, when you hit someone while using your power, you get a sort of double stun, but missing while using your power leads to no stun. So maybe one of those was supposed to be on the miss? Rather than both being on the hit. I hope my ramble made sense lol
you say that swing thing with him may be a bug but deathslinger is the same way when he has some speared. if you dont swing you get stunned, and if you do swing you dont. granted when the chain breaks it can do a health state if their full health, but that doesn't matter when their injured.
Do you think the crow perk and pig ultra addon the crouching one go well together
Is it possible to Q & E turn with him like Billy and Oni, making his turning while rushing better?
I've hidden behind the gen on the ledge of Mother's Dwelling several times, but I was pressed right up against the gen.
I've paid for every DBD DLC out, BUT for this killer I'll be picking him up with shards.
or wait for shrine of secrets bc he honestly sucks and is situational and based on luck for a good map with his power his perks are super good tho
@@-jack-6801 well its still possbile his power will be way better soon
jellyfishman yea probably..
@@-jack-6801 not comfirming it lol but hopefully cuz i love the concept
the lethal rush hit needs to feel different though, its like with the spirit but worse for me and the tokens i think should recharge like nurse or cannibal or what do you think?
Honestly, would appreciate it if they made you slide off corners on your second and after use of the power. So you can avoid bumping into the same object's 2 pixels 3 times in a row. Obviously if you make it too forgiving you'll probably end up unable to bump into something when you want to, so it needs to be just right. But still at least a bit of tweaking would be welcome.
You should definitely try Barb on him, can probably make it to them before their aura disappears, if not it should be pretty close
So Blood Favor or his add on equivalent is actually good imo for the killer since you go for hits in between tiles meaning in the 16m radius wherever you got the hit in between the tiles should be blocked
I wonder why they have a week old build of the killer in the ptb. I mean, what kind of feedback do they get from something they already changed?
I get what you’re saying about using his power for tile transfers but having to use perk slots that aid only in chases when he has a power so suited for map pressure feels like such a missed opportunity since you could bring perks that suit his movement and pressure abilities. Just my opinion though
Can you only Rush when you have 5?I notice the Rush indicator only show up when there is 5 available
haunted ground combo with the transfer hex perk?
Are they gonna update the ptb to show the newer build?
After you rush with him, you can swing and ignore the fatigue entirely
Here my thought for a build
Bbq and chilli for tracking
Save the best for last because m1 killer
Brutal strength
And his new perk that blocks pallets
His lethal rush doesnt count as a basic attack
I just feel like for a character called the Blight, who we’ve seen in the very first tome and have been excited to come out for ages, who literally has syringes that turn people into nightmare creatures, ‘bouncing off walls’ is a pretty underwhelming power...
He's really fun to watch! If I had the game I'd try to main him ^_^
