Really feels like they overcompensated her buffs to make up for their lack of being able to fix her bugs. 90% of the problem with her is frustration from her power not working the way it should.
You’re not wrong but what could you do in terms of actually making her somewhat playable and decent i think a power cooldown nerf would be good but as far as the vault on the dog i feel nerfing it would just make it useless but thats me not sure what else would be nerfed
9:19 Do yall remember when they added the halloween blight serum addon for all killers and then Tofu made a whole video around getting tier 3 lock of hair myers with blight serum and then proceeded to never use the addon the whole video was supposed to be about? *I* remember.
@deathseekr1537 I was just making a joke regarding tofus stream last night, you'd get it if you were there, tofu talked about drugs in a part and a guy said that because of things he said about it. It was so weird
I personally think that Pyramid Head can do a similar level of cancel into m1 as far as the Chase command. And while I do think she is a bit over-tuned, I don't think she is as op as this looks. I think this is just because people haven't adjusted yet. After all, she plays completely differently from release, and she's not seen that often, I think given a month and a bit of a nerf to the vault speed, she wouldn't be that crazy, still strong but not busted
Tofu didn’t really use Search much, but in addition to being able to use it a bit like a Yellow Clown Bottle, if you use it at short distance midchase you can put the survivor into Houndsense for quite a long time and then that will trigger Deep Wounds when you hit them. (And remember that a survivor in Deep Wounds can’t use Endurance perks!)
@@eclipsedarksouls6036 If you already have Deep Wounds on you then Endurance effects like Dead Hard can’t trigger. (Which makes sense since the whole point of Endurance is that it puts you into Deep Wounds rather than a dying state if you get hit while injured. You can’t get Deep Wounds “twice”.)
So what happens at a pallet when you just wait then as survivor cause you can stun the dog off of you, so you get to pallet she pulls whistle, you just stand in the pallet now, if she lets dog go early you can either stun the dog mid dash stopping it completely or if it grabs you in the pallet then you just drop it after the grab and if you position yourself right you stun the dog 2. And if she cancels you obviously just drop
I think on top of making her cool down longer and making dog vault slower, Chase should have a minimum held amount to fill the bar before you can send the dog out, like Wesker and his dash. But I also think that is ALL she needs to be tuned slightly. Small nerfs to bring her into line with other stronger killers, not just destroying her back to C tier.
@@dawnsluna5702the only one i agree with is the cooldown not sure why the cooldown was buffed again but as the vault speed it could be toned down but it needs to keep some speed cause before the nerfs you could camp a pallet and have no punishment i feel like the dog vault speed is whats making her stronger but im not sure how much to nerf on it cause a full revert i think would make her weaker, but i would like to hear how to balance her kit.
Maybe how long the dog holds a survivor should be dependent on how far away you are when you send the dog idk it could could help with a little of the pallet issues
Maybe the dog should let go if you decide to kick the pallet? That way it's like a slinger gameplay where you can go over some loops but things like shack are not that easy mode
Arguably, wouldn't the counter to those stand offs at pallets would be just stand there? If you throw the dog at the survivor, they use the pallet to get the dog off. If you hold it till you get close, they throw it for the possible stun
I actually liked playing HM before the buffs. She’s still fun, but I’ve been playing her less because people give up even more than normal against her now :(
This was more about the survivor playstyle though. Survivors who greed and try to play pallets more get punished harder by search, and these survivors just almost never did that (other than the first chase on haddonfield that I missed out on)
@@OhTofu Fair enough. I would be interested in seeing more use cases of it though, if you end up thinking a follow-up video to this one is worth it at some point
Much like the Twins- her power potential drops considerably with good teamwork. Smart teamwork, anyway- the time commitment for freeing a survivor from Snug is nearly free.
It's really upsetting to me that they constantly overbuff killers after release seemingly in reaction to players complaining about having to learn them or waiting for bugs to be identified and fixed. I played 100 games with her prior to these buffs and had a 64% kill rate (higher than my overall 61% kill rate over the past two years). She definitely need bug fixes more than she needed this. Really hope they revert the Search changes if nothing else.
Scott Jund made a video saying "we should wait before deciding". I was REALLY wondering what he's waiting for. You can kick a pallet AND STILL GET THE HIT Scott. What more do you need to see? Everything about this killer is now busted.
@@thurvokun6571So just solely because of the mid map it’s killer sided? Isn’t there other factors like gen placements, hook placement, killer/survivor spawn, interaction with perks and killers? There’s so much more to it than just the pallet count in mid map.
it has been survivor sided for the most part of DBD history to be fair 😅but after many reworks, it is a now a small map (which is crazy considering how huge it used to be), the buildings are not even close to as strong as they once were, and the filler pallets are mostly on the weak side. So yeah it is pretty killer-sided now.
Myers house side of the map is literally deserted like the house does not spawn any pallets in it only one zonable one behind and the side have one or two semi unsafe pallets and middle has 2-3 pallets after breaking them literally 40% of the map becomes a dead zone and the houses have only 1 good pallet which is the middle one and other than that all the loops r weak
I owe Tofu and the rest of fu crew an apology.. while they did have to resort to cheap and boring strategies (gen-rushing) they still beat me fair and square. their brains are smarter than my brain. woof woof

I think if I play against someone like this I am waiting until the send the dog first and then stunning the dog. And if they are waiting for me then I’m wasting the killers time. And if they swing I drop it. It’s a different play style but just like a lot of different killers she just makes pallets a bit useless the original way.
I think we need to give it time for people to get used to her 1st before we throw the nerf hammer. Pyramid head can do similar stuff at pallets and windows. Let the good survivors figure her out because the cant bully you quit survivors just want her gutted. The community overreacts to things too much.
She is strong but these survivors played very poorly. There were many situations where most killers would have gotten a hit and camping pallets is not a good idea most of the time anyway.
hot take i know but she kind of needs all this to be viable with the design. if i had to guess, behavior is starting to bake more power into killer kits while keeping killer perks on the weaker side. also right now with the surge in dramaturgy/finesse builds it feels good to play her as a twins substitute :)
easy to use killer that breaks the game, compare this to a blight or nurse, blight and nurse need at least some sort of skill to be broken tier, but this killer is simple and it make it possible to beat people of much higher skill level than u are while using this killer. i had difficult games where i beat really good teams with this killer before the buffs, so when the killer was a very low tier i was still able to utilize the powers of this killer in a way, now obviously the killer was a bit underpower, but damn the buff they gave to this killer is pretty wild, i would honestly put her in S tier. when people will learn how to abuse this killer it will be game over. for example some people on huntress could make the killer look S tier because of how oppressive she is, on average she isnt S tier, but if truly mastered she can be, but this new killer on Average is high tier. S tier if mastered obviously with this broken antiloop. with 4 gen stacked perks she can be awful to verse. many people would still complain and say that she is bad or decent. well they can complain. some people like greens and some dont. but greens are healthy either way.
