Lived on Vassar st, a half block from Stever's candy :) in the early 80s, back when there was Fay's drug store, a Star supermarket, and a laundromat, ....where the arcade games were. Sometimes we'd hike down to Brighton bowl on East ave and play the video games there. A few businesses are still there, but the houses and everything else is as I remember it, for the most part, trees are bigger, some nice big ones are gone. I remember when they built the CVS! Of course, Cobbs Hill was the center of everything! Riding bikes back in the trails. Aw, man, now I miss the place, why'd I move away? Those were some good times....
Perfect day to record, thanks! 😎 Odd you made it all the way to Alexander but started just after Pretty on Park. 😢 A few business changes, as usual, but a great stoll with just the ambient sounds! (Thank you for NO commetary.) 👍🏼
@@vinifalciano126 thanks for checking it out! I kind of started where the businesses began on Park Ave. I always like going around the old neighborhood!
Thanks for checking it out my man! I live in Minneapolis, Saint Paul now, but still get home to Rochester on occasion, and like to go down the streets I used to hang out on!
@@philsathrill1285 Cool. Minneapolis, the Big League Rochester. I lived in The Neighborhood (332 Park & 3 Rowley) from 75 to 82, and spent a memorable winter in Chanhassen some years later. Your perfect shot covered the Park Avenue I rambled daily during robust times there. Great choice to walk the shady side of the street, and to cover so much detail in your pans and tilts. Loved the nod to the LGBTQIA community with the rainbow crosswalks while averting my eyes from the 7 11 despoiling The Neighborhood's culture. So many comments, too little time. A dozen of us moved out here to the San Francisco Bay Area from 76 to 82 and none have returned.

@@peterbelanger4094 I remember all those business, and of course Brighton Bowl with the arcade games!
Beautiful neighborhood. Some things never change.
I grew up in the ABC neighborhood! Back when it was just a regular area! Love it!
Rochester is one of the worst cities in the US. 90% of the city is a crime ridden drug infested ghetto.
I used to live right around the corner. Enjoyed it.
Great neighborhood to live in!
Perfect day to record, thanks!

Go for a walk down the other 90% of the city and show the world what Rochester really is not the small sliver where the rich people live.
@@briannatarelli430 I should do a “hood walk”! I ain’t scared.
@@philsathrill1285 lol, alright respect. North Clinton should be sufficient
Beautiful video!
Thank you for checking it out!
I might be going there today.
Good deal bro!
A most satisfying walk, thank you.

Rochester NY was once the birthplace of Eastman Kodak and Xerox. No mention of them which is not good.
But it’s a Park Avenue neighborhood video? The companies you mention are located in a different section (downtown Rochester).
The spinning is disorientating. Ruins the video.
Lived there 70’s. The rest of rodchester sucks
Where you live now ?
I still love my hometown..miss it dearly ATLANTA sucks..I don't care for the south
