Helix Sparkling Preset

This video gives you samples from from my Sparkling preset.
Recently I sat down I dialed in this … I was thinking of some of the flavors I got back in the days. A really clean but still warm core sound from a powerfull tube-amp, with a mixture of tc electronics iconic 2290, their M5000 reverbs and the sparkling shimmering flavors from my Strymon units.
Still I also wanted to dial in some leadtones that stayed in the same type of univers - not to highgain, but with some sustain, natural compression and a precise attack, that makes you hear the strings brightness.It’s one of my newest presets, so I haven’t used it a lot during sessions, but it’s so inspiring that It has become my favorite preset every time I sit down to practice or write music.
There are some additional flavors in this preset, just like I have additional flavors in my other presets. But not the same variety as in my Session Start and the Dusty preset - that are both more diverse - I know I’m going to use it a lot for future sessions since it sounds so warm and sparkling at the same time.
Below you’ll find an overview of what I’ve recorded for this video, to give you a good impression of the different flavors - I really hope you like it.

00:09 Snapshot 1 - Clean - here I’m playing a part on the lower strings..
00:41 Snapshot 1 - Clean - funky chord.
01:05 Snapshot 1 - Clean - some disco “squeaks” … og the highest strings, if you are thinking about washing your car.
01:17 Snapshot 3 - Octave - clean amp with an octaver added, for funky lines
02:26 Snapshot 4 - Wah/tremolo. I prefer to have the wah turned on as default in this snap, so I avoid the bright and harsh sound when you use the toe-down-switch - so it’s on here as default.
In this preset the amp is still very clean.
03:00 Snapshot 5 - Saucy - clean, warm and ambient flavor.
03:49 Snapshot 6 - Spacious - same ambient universe, but even more spacious than snapshot 5.
04:34 Snapshot 2 - Pad - Even more ambient and spacious with a long almost endless tail of reverb and delay.
06:19 Snapshot 7 - Tim DL - one of my solo-snaps. This is a very transparent tone, nice sustain, natural compression … it isn’t clean … but definitely not highgain.
07:24 Snapshot 8 - Tubes DL - a bit more gain and overdrive … but still very tasty and transparent.
It has a bit more low end and this tone sits another place in the mix compared to snapshot 7.
They are both great for different tunes.
08:21 Snapshot 8 - Tubes DL - adding some wah … just to show you then potential for more overdriven tones … the moment you force a bit more output into the chain.
I did a video some time ago - I was just jamming with this preset and my Gibson ES346 - you can reconice the tones if you check that video out, but it has a totally other vibe to it, since I’ve did it with humbuckers all the way. You’ll find that video here:
