This is a beautiful project. You are an excellent teacher. You speak slow enough to understand and you show the project at each step. Thank you for giving me the confidence to try a project myself. I am starting with a very big and challenging project. I want to ask your advice about it. First, I have a very old glass door. It cannot be used as a door anymore but I want to make it into a wall piece. The door has 9 panes of glass with wood in between the panes. I have decided what I want to decoupage onto the glass. My daughter and I took a once in a lifetime trip to Europe this past fall. I have found a man who has rice paper pictures of many landmarks that we visited in Europe. I have purchased them from him but I do not have them yet. My thought is to decoupage these pictures in each of the panes of glass. I understand that the quality of the picture will determine whether I should paint the glass with white first, apply blank white rice paper before the printed rice paper or whether I can just add the pictures directly to the glass without doing either one. I am planning on having a light from behind so that the pictures are better seen. My question is do you have a recommendation for which option I should do? I know you cannot see the pictures to know but if I am having a light shine from behind will that effect how it will look? Thank you so much. I am happy for any advice you can give. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing other projects that you do.
Deborah
Hi Deborah. If you paint glass with white paint and then decoupage paper on top of paint light might not be visible from behind but images will definitely look better on white background. I would suggest you try it both ways on glass jar to see the difference. If you decoupage rice paper on glass on its own you will achieve this "frost" look and light will show through the paper. Please try it first on piece of glass to see the difference as this is quite a large project you are undertaking and you want it perfect.
@@AggiesCraft Thank you for your quick response. I think you are right, I should do a test run before I tackle the big project. I am not a painter but maybe I could highlight a couple of the areas on each picture to make them stand out further.
Thank you,
Deborah

Aggie! This tutorial was great! Especially because I plan on doing a glass jar today. I love to listen to your beautiful accent. May I ask where you're from? I can't wait for the next video!
Thank you for your lovely comment:):) I am Polish:)
Cudo :)
Dziekuje:)
Lovely ! May I ask what kind of glue did you use, please?
I used Pentart varnish and glue.
What kind of paper did you use other then the rice paper?
I used only rice paper in this video.
The white paper is rice paper?
Yes:) This is white plain rice paper:)
Ok great
Hi Aggie, is this paper still in stock? I can't find it in the store❤
Hi, i did it, but it all came off, I used mod podge, should I use something different
You can use mod podge and you need to seal it with varnish.
Ciao sono due tipi di carta riso giusto? Comunque il tuo lavoro è bellissimo
Sì, ci sono due tipi. Uno è per mangiare. Usiamo l'altro in decoupage.
Can you do this with decopodge paper ?
I don't think so
