Ok, from someone who has lived here for a while, units in the Ekamai, Thonglor, Phrong Prom, and Asok, which are the most central and most expensive areas in Bangkok Local food is super cheap, but Western food is pricy. Visas are also a bit hard to get unless you have real money or are older to get a retirement visa. You can no longer do non-stop visa runs. You will be denied entry at some point. The Polution is very bad, especially during the high season. You need insurance real insurance that has the coverage. Thailand will not treat you if you have no money. Though the health care is world-class. Do your home work please before coming and making sure you can afford it. Thailand does not want you here to become a burden on them if you can not pay your way.
Btw what do you mean by real money? I’ve been interested in living abroad and Thailand is on my list of possible options. Idk if getting a visa would be the biggest hurdle for me 😅
@@minmeena When I said it the only real option was to get a LTR visa which was geared toward wealthy individuals or people who make 80k a year working for a publicly traded company. If not you would have to invest 500k USD in to the Kingdom(maybe buy a really nice condo), Option 2 would be the Thailand Privilege card which the visa cost about $25,000 dollars for a 5 year visa. Though right after that comment a new visa was introduced that is under $300 and allows you to stay up to 180 at a time then you would need to do a border run to get another 180, that visa last for 5 years called the Destination Thailand Visa.
I live in Pattaya, Thailand in the Jomtien Beach area. The new condo I have allow pets, we have 2 infinity pools, restaurant, rooftop bar, a cardio room, weight room, pool talble, arcade room for kids, a garden with water surrounding it, 2 libraries.. a beautiful chandelier lobby.. 43 stories high with ocean views. I have a 1 bedroom with ocean view. They offer cleaning service for less that $ 25 USD weekly. Cost $450 USD monthly.. give or take. You just can’t beat the living here🩷💜🩷
As an Asian American I am happy to see more Black Americans living in and exploring Southeast Asia as there are not enough Black people in general out there and it brings a more fun international dynamic the more diverse it gets (more and more are moving out there now). Sounds like we'd be able to afford to live quite comfortably overseas. Going to definitely explore out options.

I’ve found roughly 20 so far in my search and more than half are newer or even luxury condos actually. The Tait Sathorn 12 is the most recent one i’ve found so luxury condos are definitely possible :)

Are agents for the units listed on google when you search for the apartment?
I put the second name in the comments I can’t remember it off memory but yes I found it on FazWaz, but the owner was very adamant about who showed the apartment so that agent did not get to show me but I double booked for my own good and it worked out with an agent from the other site. The contact info will be on the platform you find the place on and you’ll be able to send your info and someone will reach out.

For Americans you as of this week can get 60 days on arrival and can apply for a 30 extension and then can do a border run to get another 60 day stamp 2 times per calendar year. With out applying for a longer visa type. The options are you can get a retirement visa, Education visa(not recommended), Muay Thai Visa, LTR visa, Thailand Privilege, and The DTV or Destination Thailand Visa.
To many people not actually learning and fake schools have made it more scrutinized by authorities. Also there have been many instances where a school disappears of just get shut down and then you need to leave the country with in a few days.

I can never understand why black single women move to Thailand? You're not going to date and marry a local Thai man, and men travelling to Thailand are on vacation, so at best you get booty calls and situationships. So what's is the end goal, just to be single, party and travel around Asia?

A woman is most fulfilled submitting to God along side a man with whom she loves admires and respects, raising and teaching religious morals and values to their children within a loving marriage. The problem is most stable, average men who make 50k are invisible to most independent thinking women because as a result of feminism and social media, most women believe they deserve and qualify for the top 15% of men (6ft tall, 6 figures and 6"), so most of you are holding out, turning down advances from average men who are a perfect match well into your mid 30's and 40's until you turn around and realize the only attention you are getting now is for hook-ups and booty calls. So as an excuse and to cope, you say...men are not the end goal. Are you a Black Man? This is such a ridiculous comment 😂. Black people travel abroad and live because they want to and because they can. I am married with children and we moved to Thailand because we could. Just because men come to Asia strictly for women and lady boys doesn't mean that is all there is to it. 😂 It is like you are saying black women don't deserve to live good peaceful lives without your permission. 😵💫
Simple: "Because they can!" BM have been exercising their options with Becky, Maria, & Ling Ling for years. BW have their own BAG now and can travel the world 🌍and life their BEST life. Why would you even care about them moving to Thailand anyway? I thought ya'll had your passports and were moving to DR, Colombia, & Brazil.
