I wonder if race teams don’t announce their plans because whether or not they get good help could determine their racing plans? I mean if you say you need a crew chief of help, and the help isn’t as good as it needs to be but it’s the best you can get, that could determine some of your plans. From what I hear, good help is hard to find at the highest levels of the sport. Seems like a lot of rain at the start of the season and a lot of rain at the end of the season. Great info!

NASCAR not dead, or fading away. I don't care who breaks the news. I'm actually looking out for the teams here. And your antiquated view is the problem the sport has.
Cole Duncan heading to jersey? That would be worth the trip. I watched Cole take the checkered like 5 times this year. And Bobby got engaged 5 minutes from my house. Literally. Pretty sweet considering we went to the pennsboro show.
Will be traveling 3 and a half hours to bridgeport for the first time. And ironically, on the day this video is posted, im traveling to Philadelphia to see a flyers game lol.
Keep hearing that many teams are struggling to fill their crew positions. They gotta find help somewhere. Is there a hot line they need to call for people eager to join up? Not to mention if they don't fill out the roster maybe they won't go national.
If it weren't for a certain team who made a post like you're referring to I probably wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to join the sport I love so much. Advertising is advertising, take advantage of it anyway possible. Thanks Bill! 🙏
@DIRTRACKR what's the difference if you find it on Hoseheads vs Facebook, X or any other forum for that matter? This has been going on since I got involved in 2013. I just don't see the problem. But to each his own and you're entitled to that.
The lack of marketing/business acumen in dirt racing blows my mind. It’s like the want to keep everything a secret. Touring LM and Sprint Cars is big money but still run like mom and pop. I’m a USMTS fan so it’s going to be interesting watching Ebert next season. He much more of an engineer mind set than the other guys. Not sure how Rocket/Fox compares to Longhorn/Bilstein.
@cannamaniac84 You have missed the point completely. Posting about job openings is good. I'm with them all the way. I often retweet those posts. But news about your race team's future should not break because of those posts. Handle media and PR properly. Job posts and news posts should be SEPARATE.
Regarding team schedule announcements I am wondering out loud that perhaps due to the handshake nature of some of these driver/team pairings teams are hedging their bets and not publicly committing to a schedule? Or for that matter any financial variable which could go south at any time in this industry.
I don’t think teams announcing is the problem. You gotta think all of them next year try out both the outlaws and Lucas oil and see where they come out points wise and then drop off Tour and run with that series. I honestly think that’s why Overton didn’t run the big series cause he was high in the hunt front the series. So even if they announced we are not guaranteed they will run that series next year
Overton made it clear the reason they ran HTF was proximity to the races . They had less sponsorship $$$ and that ment they didn't have funds to travel . The fact HTF bumped the point fund up to 50 K was the other reason .
With good crew and transport driver help hard to line up maybe some teams want to run National but if they can't get the right people at the right price through their ads then they will have to cut back...........
Comparing the announcement of jumping from Xfinity to Cup to a dirt driver switching teams or a 410 team joining a specific tour is so not the same thing. When World Racing Group signs a 7 year long $7.7Billion tv deal we might be there. But for now I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Dirt teams are stretched thin the way it is and spending money on a proper graphic designer and marketing team might not translate to wins.
It’s simple press release…you know what every successful business issues. Formerly in the newspapers and now on socials. Justin is not expecting teams to have a $10,000 week long campaign.
Dirt teams are mostly pretty terrible marketing partners. There are exceptions of course, but any of them taking sponsorship as "marketing" seriously would be making these announcements in a proper way.
I don't have a problem with the announcements. You're just letting any potential crew guys know what your plans are.
I drove for Lucas oil and Danny did too we met every year at the Lucas oil bbq at headquarters. Solid guy glad to hear he is still racing
That vintage hat is in incredible condition.
Overton to Riggs - "factory longhorn" crew chiefed by Anthony Burroughs
Seems like a hell of a combo
“I didn’t wanna do anything else, I wanted to be a race car driver!” Job well done!!!

Media people are the only ones still taking nascar seriously. And i say that as someone who used to be a major fan
Yep, that's why they have a nearly $8 billion rights deal. Because nobody takes it seriously.

Heard the stenthouse team could be done?

To see them beat the blues unfortunately
@chrismulquin7502 i take it your a blues fan?
@ yep central Illinois here
@chrismulquin7502 ah fair enough
How about catch fences all the way around the track, not necessarily tight up against the track maybe 20 feet back might be acceptable
Great job as always. What do you think of Brandon Overton in a Longhorn and leaving Wells ca?

I think they post what their schedule would be so that potential crew members would know what they are getting into

The issue isn't the job posts. The problem is we shouldn't find out your news because of your need for crew help.

Great channel! 👍👍

RIP ASCOC. thanks for the sad reminder with the hat.
I’m starting to think from the comments no dirt fans are in sales/marketing…..
How can a team officially announce where they are racing next year before they even officially have a crew?
With good crew and transport driver help hard to line up maybe some teams want to run National but if they can't get the right people at the right price through their ads then they will have to cut back...........

It doesn't cost anything to do what Ebert did, or Paylor. Cell phones are amazing devices. We need to stop making excuses like this.
@ Oh yeah, old guy team owners don’t know how to use the internet. It’ll change.
It’s simple press release…you know what every successful business issues. Formerly in the newspapers and now on socials. Justin is not expecting teams to have a $10,000 week long campaign.
No reason to have a big announcement about a tour you ran last year also like others mentioned if you can't find help you might not do it.
Haud to big game?
Brandon Overton to HTF and Capitol test car...................to be continued!
???
I want to see a show without a hat. How many do you think Justin is bald?
Balding...
@@DIRTRACKRWe will love you bald hairy or somewhere in the middle Justin

Brandon is gonna be gustins team mate at Cooney motorsports
There is rumor Overton is going to Riggs in the Longhorn house car, and Gustin is going to Wells
WHAT? EBERT TO LUCAS???? NOT EVEN GONNA RUN MODIFIED ANYMORE?
Car owners are the problem change my mind….
I drove for Lucas oil and Danny did too we met every year at the Lucas oil bbq at headquarters. Solid guy glad to hear he is still racing
