They just get their own unique packaging with the same ol’ “cage free and organic” message. Which isn’t necessarily the case. Again, ask me how I know. Nothing wrong with GMO foods. Technically speaking, all foods we eat are “GMO”. The phrases “non GMO/organic/hormone free” are marketing terms that companies use to charge you more. I respect the content creator, and enjoy his videos, I’ve learned a lot from them, but this is just one thing I don’t agree with.
@@Montezuma0 I'd say about 60% of the foods you find in a typical USA grocery store are GMO. That's because the key ingredients in many prepared foods are made from soy, corn, wheat and sugars which all come from genetically engineered (most often for herbicide resistance) varieties of crops. The pork chop you eat was made from a pig fed GMO corn. Same goes for the milk and steak, and jam and cheese, and banana and even tomatoes. What is really astonishing to read in the comments here is how little US consumers know about their food and food systems. Many of the additives used in foods which are GRAS by FDA standards, end up creating food products that are of low nutritional value. People mistakenly think GRAS (generally recognized as safe) means there is no difference in organic and conventional meats. You can have antibiotic residues in chicken that are (or were, until recently) fed low levels of antibiotics to reduce death and disease in chicken coops where there's 10's of thousands of birds. Now, as a result, antibiotic resistance is health problem. How many consumers know that synthetic growth hormones are injected into cattle to increase weight gain, a practice that has been going on for over 50 years? And for milk production for about 30 years (r-BST)? I would not worry about eating these products occasionally, but to say that they are equivalent to organic is nonsense. While it is not always possible to buy only organic, meats are a good place to start. Reducing your meat consumption to offset the higher cost of organic meats will also have some health benefits.
@@Montezuma0 Most foods have been bred artificially to create an unnatural genome that would never occur in the wild. GMOs have been engineered to create an unnatural genome that would never occur in the wild. Dude, if we did the same thing to farm animals that we do to plans, our pigs would be looking like frankenstein mfs.
@@devdroid9606 almost all milk you can buy specifically mentions that it did not come from rBST treated cows, but also that there is no provable difference between milk from cows treated with rBST and those without This also has nothing to do with antibiotics or GMO at all, so conflating them seems irrelevant. Also, you didn't actually give any reasons that GMOs or growth hormones would be worse than organic products. These topics are plagued by corporate interests and bureaucracy which stalls useful research, but ultimately there isn't any real backing to the stance that GMOs are categorically worse.
15 bucks and 2 hours cooking to avoid fractions of “chemicals” and it’s $4.99. The amount of chicken you’ll eat vs how much so called bad stuff is on it. You people are nuts.
How do you know what they feed a “organic” bird? They can put anything on the label but unless the last words of the bird was “they fed me some stuff that tasted like heaven”, I’m eating that dirty bird.
This is very true. I was an organic farmer till I got a list of things my organic animals could eat or medications I could give them. It's a scam always has been. I now only eat my own animals.
That is so true anything for money but at least you put what ever you want on it and clean it well.. I bought that 4.99 chicken and it was old I had to throw the whole thing away is best to make your own this way you know what you put into it and is a clean chicken 🐓 😬

Bro conveniently left out the fact that buying your own organic chicken and roasting it takes infinitely more time and costs probably three times as much for less meat in the end.
disclamer: factory chickens do not differ nutrition to organic ones, but it may have higher fat content. food additives could be detrimental to health and wellbeing, but if you consume in larger quantities.
Just because the bird ate GMO food, does that mean they are GMO? It's not like they're given hormones where I would understand how it's changed the cell structure. Really not sure
changing the way they grow, what they feed, and changing their genes to make it grow faster & bigger come at a cost of changed DNA of the chicken. the compounding effect of consuming the food results in human body change. no data to show what exactly but what we consume, what we get exposed to compound to create more rare diseases and develop cancers. overall, when we look at the societal data of cancer and other major diseases, the cases and percentage has increased. we would think with modern technologies that society is living healthier but there are more people having chronic diseases that end up visiting hospitals more than usual. and the industry keeps on banking. this is the result of human development. we cannot judge anyone nor any corporation because, us people are corrupt in nature. if you guys were in position of charge in these industries(food, media, bank, natural reserve, military) you guys and I will make the same end results as they do now because when you are in that position, your mind craves more things and the only way you got to that position was by implementing that principle of getting what you want at whatever the cost. so we cannot blame nobody. do your diligence and live a righteous life. the life that is morally correct and diligently working on your path of success. no need to blame others or yourself. do your best in your position and that is already doing a positive part in society bless you all

Most foods we eat aren’t GMO. GMO is when they alter the DNA directly. Most vegetables are bred naturally without altering the DNA directly.
@@Montezuma0 if the end result is the same why do you care?
@@devdroid9606 almost all milk you can buy specifically mentions that it did not come from rBST treated cows, but also that there is no provable difference between milk from cows treated with rBST and those without
This also has nothing to do with antibiotics or GMO at all, so conflating them seems irrelevant. Also, you didn't actually give any reasons that GMOs or growth hormones would be worse than organic products.
These topics are plagued by corporate interests and bureaucracy which stalls useful research, but ultimately there isn't any real backing to the stance that GMOs are categorically worse.

Just because the bird ate GMO food, does that mean they are GMO? It's not like they're given hormones where I would understand how it's changed the cell structure. Really not sure
For real. Oh noooo the corn is less susceptible to disease, the horror...
changing the way they grow, what they feed, and changing their genes to make it grow faster & bigger come at a cost of changed DNA of the chicken. the compounding effect of consuming the food results in human body change. no data to show what exactly but what we consume, what we get exposed to compound to create more rare diseases and develop cancers. overall, when we look at the societal data of cancer and other major diseases, the cases and percentage has increased. we would think with modern technologies that society is living healthier but there are more people having chronic diseases that end up visiting hospitals more than usual. and the industry keeps on banking.
this is the result of human development. we cannot judge anyone nor any corporation because, us people are corrupt in nature. if you guys were in position of charge in these industries(food, media, bank, natural reserve, military) you guys and I will make the same end results as they do now because when you are in that position, your mind craves more things and the only way you got to that position was by implementing that principle of getting what you want at whatever the cost. so we cannot blame nobody.
do your diligence and live a righteous life. the life that is morally correct and diligently working on your path of success. no need to blame others or yourself. do your best in your position and that is already doing a positive part in society
