Also fun fact back in 1.15 (idk if it still works) if you placed at least 20 or more of them in a space and then launched them off the rails they would travel practically infinitely until they crashed into a block or entity which would make them explode on contact

You could actually use this as an emergency self destruct system for your structures, a warhead of sorts. Just make sure you've already mined all the ores in the chunk though

I usually just use a repeating command block to summon a crap ton of these things in one spot, but when you light them off, they all fire at once and even though the blast is impossibly powerful, there is only a normal blast radius since they all fire off at the exact same time. Using the rails, they end up triggering each other while spreading out and possibly even causing the explosion radius to be larger since they are being launched so fast, which could glitch out the physics engine and render the explosions farther off than they are. Most of that is just assumptions though based on my experience with breaking physics engines, it might not work that way due to how Minecraft’s physics engine works. Edit: if you want I might be able to test this in some old gen versions that you probably don’t have sometime.

You can build it under ground and use a normal piece of tnt to start it and it makes BIG BOOM
