- In this Video i will show you how to get your router on a router base, for a table, If you have the Ryobi R163 i will show you how to create an adjustment to adjust it from the top.
Was the object of this video to teach ppl how to do it themselves, or show ppl how good you are at it? You breezed right thru so many steps without even talking about them.
Good video. I couldn't get myself to pay Kreg $55 for the plate so I just made mine out of a $5 piece of acrylic.
That works too. Good job
I was just thinking the same thing, and then instead of the fancy corner jig, use the actual router to make a ledge to put the acrylic plate on and drill the main hole, lol
hey man, great video! do you have a link for those 4 black brackets you used to keep the router plate level?
Good info & thanks.
what size drill bit you use to make holes for the route screws? an d would u happen to know the set screw size for the brass pin thanks I Have A Brand new old model PRS3030 and lost my set screw
Now I have the same router but in green I made a top for my ridgid zrr4510 1 & a plastic plate for router not so good it flexed alot so I doubled it still, I think this is a better way to go with kreg's plate . Making another for my porter cable saw table
Please send website for the plate. I can't find it.
Very nice!
I noticed u put the plate upside-down the brass start pin should be on the right of u if facing it, cause u supposed to go into the router from rt to left ⬅
Great job, dude! I was wondering what exactly you placed on the adjusting nut (12:51) to then use your ratchet wrench from the table top. It looks like a socket (silver piece) but then what extension piece are you feeding through the table to adjust the depth? Thanks for any tips you might have for me!
Yes it is just a socket and a 1/4 x 6 extension for 1/4 ratchet
@@Rickteg thanks man!
what was the black film you put over the mdf? It was a 3M product?
Yes it was
Let me ask u do u knw the model# of this plate I'm trying to purchase this one

This video isn't much help you ran threw it and didn't add list of parts you used like the brackets or the wrap all this video does is show it can be done so keep looking for a video with more info than look what i did lol.
