@@599CD Sorry! I added my two cents about the backup while I was watching. Then you gave your backup disclaimer at the end. So, my comment seemed like… DUHH!!! Great video!
Before delete any object (query, form, etc)in a database, I rename it adding the current date, if a year later nobody has complained, then I delete it! 😊
I usually work in SQL w/an Access ODBC gui. Rather than delete (or "drop") a table or view, I rename it with an expiration date. So, CustomerT gets changed to CustomerT_del_20240601 (or a later date if I feel insecure). If something breaks, I can restore the old name (and maybe document why the table should be retained). If June 1 comes/goes and there have been no issues, I can then delete it knowing I'm in the clear.
That would be pretty cool. You could do it with code by creating your own log table and then tracking every time you ran the query (from a button or other code) but you couldn't track someone just running it manually.
Fabulous, and as well explained as usual, makes complex turn easy. Thank you for your work!!
Glad you liked it!
You're very welcome!
Thanks Richard! I've never seen this option !, 🤦♂️
A lot of people haven't... that's what I'm here for. :)
Make sure you keep an original copy, then the old queries are still available in the future.
Absolutely

That is a FANTASTIC idea. I'll be sure to share it in the next 599cd.com/QQ video

Well done as usual , Thank you! Loved the Star Trek clip too. Its a classic.
I wish there was a last time opened query date tracker built into Access.

Danke!
Thank YOU very much.
