Can i ask few questions Prof? 1. For primary key, does it have to be an ID/code number? Can i use "supplier name" as the primary key cuz i don't wanna put ID/code for supplier table 2. Once primary key been set and relationship been made with other table, can i change the primary key to a different field on the table? 3. Can i adding data straight on the table or it can only be by form? If it's possible what's the different? Thank you...
Hi Garnita, 1. The primary key doesn't need to be an ID/code number, it only needs to be unique. You can type a supplier name no problem, as long as you don't have 2 suppliers with the same name. 2. As long as the primary key is not the field that the relationship is based off, then changing the primary key field should be fine. 3. You can add data straight on the table. Some people prefer typing on a form, but it's only a matter of preference.
