I feel the same way! ☺️ There were definitely multiple items that was put away, that I would have loved to see! In example the coral colored dress, the ivory colored one, as well as some blazers and even some shirts in the beginning. 🙏💕
In particular, I wanted to see the white poke-a-dotted set and long fancy black dress. Also I think the coral dress had a collar so the buttons would in the front not the back. But ya there were so many cool pieces, I would of loved to see them shown on.
@@swagnola Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the fancy black dress! 😳 I was stunned when I saw it. 😭❤️ I think Alexa would look like an absolute GODDESS wearing it! 👑
OMG that blue jumpsuit! I wore a dress made exactly like that, shoulder pads, V-neck, pockets, only in dress form. I loved it. I wore it to death in the late 1980s-early 90s. What a great style and so flattering! Your mom is probably super cool.
the purple dresssssss!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, and the look with the blue blazer, so many full house, DJ vibes!!!!AAaaaaaa loved this video, please do more with the other bins, love ya !!!! Stay safe!!
I just love the blue & black jumpsuits! And the V part of the belt definitely goes in the back. And my, I was really laughing at your reaction at finding all of those cut up turtlenecks! So hilarious!! 😂 And it also reminded me of the crazy things my grandmother would save and we found after she passed away. Like sweater sleeves...just the sleeve...cut off and very carefully saved. No idea why! We were just as confused! I suppose she wanted to do something with it but never got around to it. Found lots of remains of cut up clothing. But it gets COLD here. I mean -20 F windchills so you learn to dress in layers with warm fabrics. And cotton can be deadly in winter! ❄
I am so glad my mom kept the most of her old clothes. About a month we went through most of it and we found awesome and beautiful dresses and skirts which would be very trendy now. I also loved hearing the stories of all the pieces, what they went through how they wore them or got them.
The blue jumpsuit is by far my fav. The belt goes the opposite way with the pointy thing in front. That style was super popular in the late 80’s. Your Mom hung onto stuff for a long time!:)
I had a ton like the first “turtle neck” as a child because I hated scarfs and living in a place where the winters are intense you kind of need something around your neck.
I hope you make videos going through the rest of the clothes bc this was so fun to watch! It’s so cool you already found a few great finds! I have some things from my parents & grandparents and it means so much!
I have a set of scrubs - my father-in-law saved the ones he had to wear when my hubby was born! The Ritz Carlton mock neck crew might be cute for your crop & elasticize the bottom thrift flip! I love the 80s blue jumpsuit! Yes, the "v" goes in the front. The black one is cool, you can put a graphic tee underneath and wear it with your Doc Martens sandals.
The best part of going through your parents clothes, is remembering them wearing it. This happens to me all the time when I "borrow" (steal) my mum's clothes
Yeah! I wish my mom had more photos in these items but it made me want to like keep some of my favorite clothing items to them maybe if I have kids they can go through it
That black jumpsuit 😍😍 some killer high heels and chain style belt would look stunning! The blue jumpsuit fit like a dream too 😍 id wesr that dressed down with the legs cuffed and white trainers
I'm a fan of showing the process of deciding what to try on before doing try on clips, it feels like a thrifting and haul video with much better audio for the thrifting part lol. Thanks for uploading! 😊
The bandana with the dress is a LOOK. I thrifted through my moms closet a few weeks ago and it was so fun. She was holding out tons of perfect Levi’s on me!!
this was such a fun video! i'm obsessed with all things thrifting rn. my fave was defs the purple dress - i wish i could get some of that fabric and make a cute 70s-style mini dress with it
This was a lot of fun to watch. Now I’m thinking of asking my mom for some clothes lol absolutely loved this ! 💜 my favorite were the jumpsuits you look amazing !
I’ve definitely gotten pieces from my moms closets. I was actually wearing a jean jacket from her the other day and I found a receipt from 2001 in the pocket
I love love the blue blazer outfit! The black jumpsuit was so fashionable too, the floral maxi dress was so incredible but I think the shoes were too bulky for something so airy and soft.
The "turtleneck" things are super popular around here (Japan!), but they not only make them out of sweaters, they do them with button-up shirts as well! Unfortunately my mom and I are not the same size and we have very different styles but I did help her sell/donate some of her clothes these days so this video was very on timing for me!
such a good idea! I’ve been begging my mom to clean out her closet because I’ve caught a glimpse of some awesome vintage pieces that she never wears anymore 😂💛
I LOVED that purple dress. Oh man and that blue jumpsuit. Just stunning. I think you should of tried on the white poke-a-dotted skirt set. Maybe it just needed a thrift flip. I think there were some items you could of thrift flipped easily to make cute.
I really loved this video! Your mom has style girl! I love thrift my mom, dad, brother, boyfriend closet.. that blue blazer I had thrift a very similar one in red on my mom's closet !
Your mom’s clothes are awesome!!!! I love how you were able to make cool outfits from them that are trendy now. I was in heaven when I found my mom’s old Levi’s!!!
I had a dress very similar to the blue one in 2002. It is adorable. The blue belt on the jumpsuit probably was meant for the V to be in the front. Great haul from your mom!!!
The turtleneck things are called Dickies, they were also made and sold that way for layering without bulk.
My mom was the queen of rocking dickies in the 90's, I think she had double the amount of these lol.
Yes! Apparently she actually cut all of them herself instead of just buying them like that 😹
My grandma had them in our ski/snowboard stuff. Definitely rocked them on the mountain before I could dress myself. 😂
Don't then ride up?
Man that blue jumpsuit is perfection
I wanted you to try everything on😅😅 maybe you would have liked something that you put in the "not keeping pile" 😄
I feel the same way! ☺️ There were definitely multiple items that was put away, that I would have loved to see! In example the coral colored dress, the ivory colored one, as well as some blazers and even some shirts in the beginning. 🙏💕
YES PLEASE DO A PART 2 where you style those items!!
In particular, I wanted to see the white poke-a-dotted set and long fancy black dress.
Also I think the coral dress had a collar so the buttons would in the front not the back.
But ya there were so many cool pieces, I would of loved to see them shown on.
Same. I hope they aren’t getting rid of them bc taste and trends change.
@@swagnola Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the fancy black dress! 😳 I was stunned when I saw it. 😭❤️ I think Alexa would look like an absolute GODDESS wearing it! 👑
Clearly your mom was an 80s goddess. Love the blue jumpsuit on you!
this is SUCH a creative idea i love it!! i wish my mom had kept her old clothes from the 80s/90s
My mum was born in the end 80s lmao
I wish in my family people would left their old clothes, we all just pass them along and there's nothing left from 80s/90s, which is unfortunate
😭😭
Yes I have the same problem!
Same! My mom was a young adult in the 70d and I wish she had kept something...
the white and black polka dot skirt was so cute and literally something urban would have sold last summer🥺😍
Ikrrr
I wanted to see you try the polka dot set
OMG that blue jumpsuit! I wore a dress made exactly like that, shoulder pads, V-neck, pockets, only in dress form. I loved it. I wore it to death in the late 1980s-early 90s. What a great style and so flattering! Your mom is probably super cool.
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
THE BLACK JUMPER IS FABULOUS ON YOU (the shoulder pads are perfect with it it gives so much structure)
My fav was the black jumpsuit, she looked so good in it.
The purple dress and that blue jumper! Such good finds.
the purple dresssssss!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, and the look with the blue blazer, so many full house, DJ vibes!!!!AAaaaaaa loved this video, please do more with the other bins, love ya !!!! Stay safe!!
The JUMPSUITS were SO cute on you! omg! This video made me so happy thank you for sharing :)
The blue jumpsuit is definitely 80s, and the pointy but of the belt goes in the front! Super flattering on you! Purple dress was also my favorite. :)
I just love the blue & black jumpsuits! And the V part of the belt definitely goes in the back. And my, I was really laughing at your reaction at finding all of those cut up turtlenecks! Fun! Would love to see you try more of her clothes
Wow the blue jumpsuit!!!! You did amazing!!! Better than a mystery box 💖
I am so glad my mom kept the most of her old clothes. About a month we went through most of it and we found awesome and beautiful dresses and skirts which would be very trendy now. I also loved hearing the stories of all the pieces, what they went through how they wore them or got them.
OMG your mom had style !!!! LOVE obsessed . loved the first look channeling your inner lizzie McGuire
The blue jumpsuit is by far my fav. The belt goes the opposite way with the pointy thing in front. That style was super popular in the late 80’s. Your Mom hung onto stuff for a long time!:)
The purple dress and the jumpsuits are definitely my favorites.

I haven’t watched your vids in a couple months and I forgot how happy your vibes make me
💛💛💛 glad to have ya back !

The jumpsuits looked amazing on you. Both jumpsuits totally elevated your style! I hope you kept them both - they are awesome!
omg the blue and black jumpsuits were gorgeous. You should have your fiancé thrift your dads clothes 😂 if he's comfortable doing that of course.
This is such a good idea to do if your crafty! Love your reactions of the turtlenecks.
You could make that Champaign dress into a wedding dress
Trueeee trueeeee !
My exact thought! I was surprised that Alexa didn't feel compelled to thrift flip it - or even try it on 🥰👰
👍👍👍😁

My mom has most of her 80s and 90s clothes, I've always liked to wear them, haven't done that in a while, definitely will go through her closet now 😅
What a fun video! You mom has great style! I wonder what memories she could share with you about when and where she wore the various outfits.
The bandana with the dress is a LOOK. I thrifted through my moms closet a few weeks ago and it was so fun. She was holding out tons of perfect Levi’s on me!!
This is so much fun!
Looooved the purple/lilac dress and both of the jumpsuits on you. Great gems!
Honestly, same. My mom has so many clothes, her closet is basically a mini mall that I occasionally go shopping in. 🤩
Wow how lucky is it that the first item is the best one. That purple dress is super cute ❤ I love that blue jumpsuit also.

Like .. omg so much cool stuff
Honestly I like most them
This was such a great idea and it was so cool seeing the trends/styles from back then! And you styled your mom’s clothes so well, I lovedddd 👏👏😘❤️
