Also, I would like to say that we are seeing a part of a spiritual growth process here....with both of you, (actually, all of you there) but with Kara and Nate especially. You both are learning a lot about yourselves along the way....and you are adapting and overcoming some really difficult mental struggles....and becoming better for it. I love how Kara is so concerned about Nates lack of strength in his hands....I was worrying too!! I hope that everything will be okay with that when you get a chance to rest, Nate. Thanks again ya'll

Okay, it's compliment time: First, Nate: this is one of the most inspirational things I've ever seen. Your journey through the CT is a reminder that achieving a goal doesn't mean you have to enjoy every part of getting there. Sometimes it's literally just putting one dang foot in front of the other and slogging through it with cuts and bruises, crawling to the finish line. BUT it doesn't matter how you make it across that finish line. Just that you do. And what an achievement that is! Thank you so much for sharing even a portion of this journey with us and for having the endurance, resilience, and spirit to get through. Now, Miss Kara: Being a support to someone on a journey like this is just as difficult as the one doing the journey. No matter how much food you make or encouragement you give, you can't take your loved one's pain away. All you can do is remind them of why they wanted to do this and that they can get through. Also, by editing these vlogs so beautifully, you get to tell Nate's story, the good, bad, and ugly, in such a rewarding way. Thank you for your patience, creativity, and grace. You both are such inspirations, and thank you so much for putting in all of this extra effort to share your journey with us!
These 1 hour vlogs are amazing, it's taking it to the next level. Kara is no longer just a vlogger she has become a full blown film maker. To be able to keep viewer's attention for full 3 hours, take a bow Kara and Nate. You guys are great ❤️
I know this has all been so tough on Kara and Nate. Nate especially. But can we all give Kara a round of applause?! Watching all the footage, editing, and creating these mini-documentaries - all while taking care of the boys 👏🏼👏🏼 she’s killing it
To Kara: Thank you for going through the headache, worry, extra responsibility and difficulty that this trip is putting you through. We all appreciate the work that goes into these hour long vlogs! And we appreciate all the work the Support Vans are doing! This literally wouldn't be possible without you. To Nate: Congrats on making it this far! I grew up in rural Colorado, and the CT was always talked about in hushed tones... It was an intimidating challenge, even for those of us who grew up wandering the mountains you're currently biking. Yes somehow, you still approached it with all the same positivity that comes along with this channel. I wish you the best of luck, and can't wait to see the next episode. As always, thank you guys for the fun, exciting, entertaining content. Its hard to keep someone's attention for an entire hour, but I think you guys nailed it!

This is genuinely one of the most entertaining things I've ever watched, and equally as inspiring. I never comment on anything on youtube but this is such a masterpiece from you guys. The incredible amount of work both Kara and Nate have put into this trip while documenting it is incredible. Nate's journey has been so especially inspirational. His attitude and perseverance and overall badassery and pushing his body to such limits! I am inspired for life.
Rick is seriously an inspiration. Nate is pointing out the difficulties of the trail and Rick is biking the same exact trail, including crashing and falling off his bike, and he's just happily whistling and pedaling along and laughing about the crash immediately afterwards. It's all about perspective. He makes it look easy and fun. The world needs more people like him!
It's amazing that you transitioned to a longer format set in your home country without losing any part of what made your travel vlogs really special. The editing is outstanding, very beautiful and engaging. It really is the best show I've come across this year. Can't wait to see how this trip ends.
i am sympathizing on the brother. He doesn't have an emotional support (their wives) like Nate and Rick does. And he doesn't have a comfortable place to sleep either!
He got his brother for emotional support. Also he's a mountain bike enthusiast, he really like riding. As for the place to sleep, that's what "men" do.

I’ve just started watching about a month ago and I’m so wrapped up into everything the two of you do! I love watching every video I’ve found and I’m currently watching you bike the Colorado trail in awe of what all of you are doing. Two nights ago I found video of you explaining how you got started and if you want to continue. I just wanted to get on here and say Thank you! The both of you are amazing and you deserve everything you’ve received. I hope you continue and if not I will watch old videos until they disappear. Thanks Kara & Nate I love you and all that you’ve done! ❤ one of my most recent favorites was Nate going out with Poos in his old van that had been painted and looked pretty darn sweet inside as well. I almost died laughing when you broke through the canvas bed as I was just wondering how that canvas was still holding. That video was a precious memory one you will cherish forever I’m certain! 😊
I just wanted to say that you two have been life savers, as a former outdoorsy type I am living vicariously through you. I am home bound taking care of my 94 year old mother and working my desk job from my home office during the pandemic. I've been watching your channel for over a year now. Also Nate is really inspirational to me, he will be able to tackle any trail after this, I want to get back on my mountain bike or any bike for that matter. And to Kara, the quality of your videos are showing the hard work you have put in. These vlogs are better than any Netflix documentaries I have seen in a long time.
I just discovered you guys a few weeks ago with your trip to Antarctic. I have been following you ever since. I'm not sure what the appeal is to this 50 something year old woman who has become obsessed with RUclips during the pandemic? However I'm glad I found you two. I am truly enjoying your travels and adventures. Looking forward to catching up on previous videos and to the conclusion of this great adventure. 🙂🙂🙂
I was lucky to find these two early in their adventures and I went through every video they had already made as quickly as I could. They are AWESOME! True talent and they put out great content!
I was blessed enough to say that I found Kara and Nate one particularly difficult New Years' Day nearly 3 years ago. I had recently lost my job of 14 years, and had no idea what was happening in life. Then, the YT algorithm recommended a beautiful looking couple who were on the Tran-Siberian Railroad. I clicked on that first video, and became instantly hooked. I went back and watched every single video from that first flight to Tokyo. Finding Kara & Nate changed my life in that I've seen more of the world than I could ever do in real life, and got to know two really fantastic people who I now consider friends of mine. ❤️ Welcome to the community!
I just love your adventures. I am almost 70, I have MS and my days of adventure have ended for me. So you bring the adventure, the excitement, the frustration to me, Thank you so much for letting me live a little art of your adventures. I also appreciate the clean language because I can watch your videos with my grandkids and not have to worry about all of those awful four letter words, Thank you again.
He's having such a hard time by day 12. He was complaining about hand strength and all that, but then he looked in the camera with those eyes. Eyes so full of determination. It was really inspiring.

So yes, I question why we are wearing masks and why things are not back to normal when clearly there is a lot of propaganda surrounding covid. Anecdotal evidence isn’t proof of anything. More than 200,000 Americans have died with these measures in place. Do a little reading, expand your mind beyond RUclips.

Now that this is a trilogy, Part 2 can be aptly named, “The Colorado Trail Strikes Back.”
Andrew Ellis Empire Strikes Back reference?

I just wanted to say that you two have been life savers, as a former outdoorsy type I am living vicariously through you. I am home bound taking care of my 94 year old mother and working my desk job from my home office during the pandemic. I've been watching your channel for over a year now. Also Nate is really inspirational to me, he will be able to tackle any trail after this, I want to get back on my mountain bike or any bike for that matter. And to Kara, the quality of your videos are showing the hard work you have put in. These vlogs are better than any Netflix documentaries I have seen in a long time.
I was feeling inspired to try such a thing myself but I'm now feeling like living vicariously through you all is sufficient.
Kara, don't be afraid to take a break after you post the next part. You deserve it!
love how the little girl was describing the toilets at the RV campsite. So adorable
*nate miserable walking a gravel path * jumps scene to kara eating chips while driving hahahahahahahah
Me too! I had to watch from the beginning. It took me a couple months.
I started about there as well. About 150 episodes in on the replay.
Tracy Capella You’ve gotta go watch all 4 years of traveling. I mean, just great story tellers and adventurers in Kara and Nate.
“great for the wildfires... not so great for our wild bikers.......”😂 so glad you included that in the edit hahahahahah
I also loved that she was clearly so proud of her joke haha
Agreed! 😂😂
Love how Rick is just whistling so casually after Nate describes that it's been pouring and miserable. 😂

Very beautiful waterfall is like heaven
Definitely take time out
Rick ain’t right in the head😂😂😂
Reminds me of an old boss who used to whistle when he was mad. Lol
xkristixx right? He is SO positive it’s contagious!
So much positivity! Plus, 'I'm On My Way' by the Proclaimers is a tune that can stick in your head for hours 😂 I recognised it immediately
Has anyone else noticed that Rick is almost too good at staying positive throughout this whole adventure?? haha... Props to you guys!

He's having such a hard time by day 12. He was complaining about hand strength and all that, but then he looked in the camera with those eyes. Eyes so full of determination. It was really inspiring.
This series has been nothing short of amazing. Great work editing all this footage, Kara✌️❤️
You know I appreciate the most about you guys are that you guys are real. Yeah its not pleasant (the trail at times), but you are working towards your goal and its so inspiring. Thanks for continuing to share your story.
You guys are THE definition of a dream couple :)
Its 10pm on saturday night where I am. I just had a shower, Im in my PJs, made popcorns, made a lemonade, turn on the LED lights in my living room and now Im gonna watch this vlogumentary on my laptop...cause its a sin to watch this on the phone.
No better way to spend saturday night 🍿🥤😍
I completely forgot a pandemic existed while watching this
It doesn't exist in reality.
@@sktyby Empty hospitals in my area....in a combined area of about 4 million people and there never was an inundation of covid patients. So yes, I question why we are wearing masks and why things are not back to normal when clearly there is a lot of propaganda surrounding covid. People need to get back to work, this is beyond ridiculous.
Anecdotal evidence isn’t proof of anything. More than 200,000 Americans have died with these measures in place. Do a little reading, expand your mind beyond RUclips.
@@MiniM69 Those numbers are highly exaggerated when there are less and less causes of death via cancer, pneumonia, accidents, regular flu.... its all covid now. More people should be questioning wth is really going on.
@@salan3507 I don't think those numbers are exaggerated. People don't take the pandemic seriously when it is actually a big thing. It is true 200000 people have died!
Nate is insane. Kara your a trooper for editing all this footage, that is no small task.
OMG Nate! Having done decades of MTB and road cycling (and having hit the dirt in both) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do up your helmet strap! Especially for that high speed stuff on the road, you want to give that helmet the best chance of staying on your head should you unexpectedly hit the deck.
Plot twist: This is how our parents got to school every single day. 😳
LMAOOOOO
Now, that’s funny. Lololol
Anna’s Weird ASMR lol
Lol
Going to school bare foot up hill for 10 miles each way!😆
I’ve officially fallen down the rabbit hole of watching a lot of your old videos, and I’m not mad at myself.
Something that really shines through for me is how naturally good Kara is with children. So sweet.
I think she was an elementary school teacher before
Nate is like a father figure to me, he knows how to make the most out of every situation, and very inspiring.
That’s odd
I keep coming back to this video whenever I need motivation to do something tough. It was so good to get a realistic view of this challenge, and see how you did it anyway! No giving up!
Nate: I hate you Colorado Trail!!!
Rick: Whistling a little tune...
You’re all doing amazing guys! Considering the lack of pre training and stamina building I really don’t know how you’ve done this. Everyone involved including the back up van teams , you work so well together in what must be trying and sometimes scary moments. Truly inspirational . You should write a book!
I love how both Nate and Kara are pushing completely different boundaries but are loving that it is completely different from what they have ever done before.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I get nervous when you don’t post for 2 weeks. Love, a worried Mom
Right 😖
I never thought so much would happen in those 2 weeks 😉. Love the video, worth the wait 🙌🙌
I thought the exact same thing, definitely worth the wait! (Btw, so excited for your Qatar Series, I’m a huge football fan!)

did poor dusty have to sleep on the floor after all the days of riding!?
I was thinking that too, also thought kara will take well care of him too also nate is a loving brother.
I feel like he's the real MVP haha
tip of the hat for doing the drone footage, man that must have taken EXTRA effort considering the miserable time you were having
Somehow I started a couple days ago with the leaving Philippines video, their quarantine then waking up at 4:30 for a month to this. This is the kind of content I needed in my life, endurance, resilience a new type of reality that is still out there... depression cure THANK YOU
I never thought you guys would survive this ordeal but hats off to you that you've overcome the setbacks and come out winning. Moreover, you guys look healthier and stronger than a few months before! Kudos!
I admire you so very much , Felicidades from México
@@celiawirz3937 Gracias !
We reached the end and realized we were totally ready for part two TODAY! Holy cow- great job on the long vids and we really hope you had an entire drawer full of Snickers for Nate once he wrapped up the CT. Safe travels, guys! :)
I really love these "vlogumentaries" - so inspiring to watch!!
Rick’s casual whistling versus Nate’s (completely appropriate) grumbling is everything. Rick is amazing
Refreshing to see a real honest mental state going through the trail. Thanks
Was Dusty still part of the whole trip? Really enjoy these videos and seriously Kara you do such an amazing job editing. Not everybody could pull it off to make it this interesting - even my man started watching with me! Sending some love

I really love to see Nate and Kara together but this bike-a-thon has been so great. I see it as Nate once again pushing Kara; she's becoming more independent in these episodes but she's so grateful for Nate which is so great!!
You both as a couple teach us alot!! I genuinely have seen you both how to stick together and support each other at times where one could easily loose temper!! As well as respect each other's desicion and opinions ❤️.
We are all so proud of you guys! This journey has given both of you so much strength and character that you will easily take on the rest of the world together 🌎 PS Nate ... Owie Ouch Ow, shin smacks from pedals hurt the worst, take care of him nurse Kara
i really like the fact that you guys live in a van and just travel everywhere. it’s 5 am and i have been watching your videos since 3 am
You guys are going to put Netflix and Amazon Prime out of business. ANOTHER awesome adventure!
GOOD. Netflix is ownwed by evil, (so is amazon) Its all horror, and gore and supports paedophaelia. eg see "cuties" and learn whats going on behind the scenes of our world. Its RUN by paedophiles. Boycott netflix.
@@Als11able lol that's been proven to be completely untrue. Just like that Qanon crap, same type thing.
Very different from the usual travel vids but I’m growing on this big United States van road trip series! You two are so skillful with the camera now, so much more than in the old vlogs . Thanks for sharing
Rewatching all the van videos because I love them so much… getting me through the work day!
Oh no..my heart dropped when I read the first title. Stay safe on your journeys everyone
Yes stay safe!
This was such an amazing thing to watch! The challenges both physically and mentally you both faced over the 2 weeks was enlightening and made me appreciate the small things I never give much thought. I absolutely love you both!

I seriously have so much respect for you Nate. You have so inspired me with going out of your comfort zone. Watching you and Kara has been the absolute highlight of my life. I have watched you guys since the very beginning and love you guys so much. Much love from Calgary, Alberta Canada.
This has been one of the most exciting trips. Sitting home watching only imagining how rough it was for the guys. Pushing themselves to the limits! 👍
