The flute, mridangam, gharam, thavil - all of added a lot of beauty to the original... this version has another beauty of its own but the OG is my pick !!
This version is good but the older version had lot more emotions and paced a little faster. Personally I enjoy the older version. It would be good to have the older version back on RUclips. Miss that a lot !!!
Mystical abheri is one composition with myriad possibilities. And I am happy to have as many come to life as possible! Every single version (including the covers) is a treat. This modern version is a stripped-down minimalist take - earlier version was like the long scenic route on Indian railways with the tomato soup & chaya, while this is the cool smooth business class flight version. I’m sure there are many more waiting to be born ❤
Well put! Every rendition has a charm and allure all its own. Loved the tabla parts on this. However, it would have been great to have the provision to revisit and listen to the original one too.
2:04 Man, c'mon! Should have included some version of that original flute solo! Was waiting for that part in the new one. The original orchestra is as important as the lyrics and vocals for it to become THE mystical abheri.

This is so beautiful to the ears
Honestly would've loved Butto's touch in this one. Made the original very pure and translated the innocent love that the writer conveys in the verses.
Harishji ,that "Tamizh poonthendralo " sounds reethigowla ,anyway I like that very much..that variation...! This reminds Dhanasree raaga too ,as Abheri and Dhanasree is having almost same aaroh avaroh.

@@chandraiyer1710 i did. That's why I'm a bit confused. But i googled. Ostensibly,the word "kannamma" is a colloquial for " dear". So i guess it's a love song.
Initially i thought kannamma was a goddess hence my confusion for devotional song.
