I own this car in this colour accidentally too, and it DOES have driver's attention technology. Hands on wheel and eye-face camera to check driver is paying attention and it would automatically stop and dial 112 / 999 sending GPS details if one lost consciousness. Is that what you meant in minute 13.56? I have owned it since July 22nd and it is absolutely great. I do not switch off safety features, I 'd rather learn to read / sense its language and get to know it better, so it protects me from harm. Men, on average, tend to switch things off.... thinking they are great drivers and do not want to lose control (which you don't). Good review....
Thanks for your comment Wilma! In regard to the safety features: in the Netherlands we have road markings on secondary roads (60 kph) that confuse every lane departure warning system. You have to switch this off on these roads in order to prevent a head on collision with oncoming trafic. That being said, the majority of the safety systems are gradually becoming better. The driver attention monitor for instance was annoying a year ago in new Toyotas. Now, I don't even realize it has such a system (as you have pointed out). Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your time, knowledge and effort in producing this video. Looking at the Yaris cross and Kia xceed, leaning towards the Toyota with the 10 year warranty being a factor. Cheers.
That was an excellent review. A lot of low mileage drivers who bought the previous Yaris Cross had problems with the 12v battery not retaining it's charge, do you know if Toyota have improved the 12v battery in this Yaris Cross?.
I am not sure about that, I know that Toyota is aware of this problem and a year ago they were implementing a solution. It is likely that it is solved with this update, but I will ask the tech spokesperson. Thank you for watching!
Waiting to see what they will do for 2025. Comparing this beauty to Mazda MX-30 ER for possible buy in 2025. Obviously the Toyota does everything one needs for a crowded European city but waiting for 2025 updates.....from both companies.
Both are quite different cars, the MX-30 would be my choice as a fun, secondary car for a two person family. The Yaris Cross is the more sensible car, but with a lot of driving pleasure. Thanks for watching!
@@Carnold_YT Good review of a good car that is just a little too cheap in key areas (the lower priced editions) and is currently flooding European markets. Better smart hybrids than the Chinese electro swarms!
I usually do that, but due to extreme tax rates, the prices are much higher over here. That led to confusion amongst viewer, hence I chose to leave that out. Anyway, as tested this car costs € 43.190. Thanks for watching!
I am a retired Sales Manager of 25+ years with 12 yrs. at 2 Toyota dealerships. I only mention this because I would have walk-around contests with sales people earning strong spiffs. Your product knowledge and presentation is to be commended! Kudos to you my friend! GREAT JOB!!!
Great review. Very professional, much better than most car reviewers. Please continue with your reviews.
Thank younso much!
Great review, as ever!
Thanks Mike!

@@Carnold_YT I am Dutch... dus dat heb ik gemerkt xx
Aha, nou dan heb ik het in elk geval even geëxplained voor de Engelstalige lezers / kijkers :-)

Toyota simply replaced my battery in a 2023 Yaris Cross Premiere.
Yes it has been replaced by a new and better battery.
@@Carnold_YT FYI, yes they did! It is a different battery altogether. I specifically asked for this.
I believe they now use a better battery, plus the software has been updated too to fix this problem
Geweldige review, wel hoor ik vaak over een app voor de auto. Weet je hoe dat werkt?

Good review, is the 12 V system also updated or stays the empty battery problem?
Yes, that issue has been resolved with the update. Thanks for watching!
@@Carnold_YT How?
Nice Review.. I would have appreciated a few words on fuel consumption...
I did mention it while recording, but I've edited that out - thanks for pointing that out.
It is 4.4 liters per 100 km, or 53.5 mpg (US).

Anything about the spare wheels?
Over here, the car comes without a spare wheel. Only a tyre repair kit and a compressor.
@@Carnold_YT Many Thanks.
@@steviesmart2343 You can add a spare wheel as an extra. I did just that.
Maybe talk about price in your country just for comparison
