Lovely to see you in a maxi skirt, with your long legs it looks fantastic on you. I like the way Kate finished the inside of the split on this one, its extremely tidy with that wide double fold facing. The inside of slits shows every time you move so it needs to be super neat, but they often aren’t.
You looked very glamorous in your skirt - it certainly suits you. And I love yoga waistbands now. I'm so glad I watch your channel to learn new techniques.😊
You look amazing in this skirt! Very classy. Thanks for pushing through that comfort zone and sharing with us. As always, great job Karina! I’ve learned so much and been so inspired watching you over the years.
Just saw your quick video and wanted to use your affiliate link as your skirt convinced me to buy. Love your skirt but I swear you look beautiful in everything you sew!
Thanks for making this skirt. I feel the same as you. Out of my comfort zone 😂. It looks great and my husband approved. I think I will have to take the leap too lol.
You look fabulous in that long skirt. I love your channel and I have used some of the techniques you have shown. I have been sewing for 40 years plus and I have always used the options on the patterns. Thank you very much ❤
The skirt looks great on you! I like the way you have styled it for both summer and winter. I don't usually wear skirts, and am a similar height to you, but wondering now whether to give this a go. Thanks for the inspiration and helpful sewing tips as always.
Awesome, thanks for the tutorial! You look so tall in this skirt, especially in boots😊. Don’t discount a matching fabric top though, to create a faux dress.

Hello Karina! The skirt looks GORGEOUS on you!! I like the slit only on one side tho - but it is really nice! I’m making a top and I want to extend the sides into a dress for Mothers Day and will be making make some adjustments. I’m making the top only for fit for my muslin and am doing a curved back adjustment of 1/2 “ - do I add that amount to the bottom front piece so the front and back will be even or should I subtract 1/2 “ on the back at the bottom? I think either way would work but wanted your opinion . Love your channel Karina and all you offer! Virginia in Arkansas👍😄
The round back adjustment is only done at the back and it should not affect the front at all. You don’t need to add anything to the front or change the bottom of either the front or the back. My understanding is that the round back adjustment is done to add extra length at the upper back as needed to the shape of the back and that will in itself make it even with the front when worn.
This is assistance the pattern company should provide, not me. Pattern emporium has this playlist all about the patterns and how to use them ruclips.net/p/PLwl3o2bXt_zakSo9p4jMxAeeaoOJjSxPL
I followed the instructions meticulously in the pattern for my version. It was 3/8” and that is what I filmed. Patterns are also tested by over 30 people and all of these things are looked at in detail.

Karina, I am loving your outside your comfort zone series. Made the Lincoln top, and am going to make this. You inspire me friend!

Im actually a huge skirt wearer but always short 😀. I’m glad I tried again because now I’ll have more options.
Thank you for all your videos I've learnt a lot ❤️
love it!!! It looks great on you!
It’s beautiful Karina.

I know I won’t be making a faux maxi. The maxi skirt is enough on its own for me. I’d make a faux dress only with a short skirt.
Beautiful. How do you ever decide what to wear each day? Your closet must be bursting.😊
I decide in one split second :) I have a sewing channel so my clothes are a blessing that comes from it.
I would love to use your affiliate link but can not find how to do this, sorry I am not very tech savvy. Many thanks

Would really love to try this but the digital pattern gets me how do they work ? Do U have a video on them?

@@LiftingPinsandNeedles thank U for your prompt reply are ubin Australia?
I had to use 5/8” seam allowance for the miter to work,
not 3/8.
I followed the instructions meticulously in the pattern for my version. It was 3/8” and that is what I filmed. Patterns are also tested by over 30 people and all of these things are looked at in detail.
