There's definitely effects to beatboxing. The other people have mentioned the vocal cord damage that can happen. From some basses, scar tissue is built up on the vocal cords over years of practicing. It's like callouses for guitar players, where the skin on the tips of the fingers gets harder so from pressing on the strings. The thing it's pretty painful though, and you can definitely overdo it. Another thing that the other comments haven't mentioned is another type of bass called lip bass or lip rolls. With that, you almost suck your lips in together on the side of your mouth, it's basically the last sound that Trung Bao makes in the video. The thing with that is people are starting to speculate if doing that only on one side too many times can change how your mouth looks, which is kinda weird to think about. That said you'd have to do a crazy amount of practicing, and also only be doing it on one side. That's not really a relevant concern for most people but with how many years of practice it takes to really develop beatboxing skills, it can become relevant.

if you are well trained and careful as most of the beatboxers you have reacted too there isnt any worry. Worst case scenario from beatboxing or even singing, if done incorrectly you and really mess up your vocal cords needing surgery and is not a pleasant experience.
