I- why is this so relatable😭 They always favor on the younger siblings bc they're "innocent", "kinder", "better", and when they make mistakes it's fine since they're just kids, they don't know what they're doing, I mean, what they said really are true, but can't they just realize how unfair it is for us, older siblings? That they immediately hit or shout at us bc we're old enough to know what's right and wrong? They even compare me to my lil sis "why can't u just be better like her?". I'm just sick and tired feeling like a disappointment every damn day and recieving bruises and hurtful words back, while my sister enjoys being the center of attention, feeling special to everyone and I admit, I AM jealous, so so jealous of her, I wouldn't if only what they say "we treat you both equally" is actually true, I would've felt better if she comforted me like what the younger sis did in the video, but no, instead she even brags abt it and make fun of me every time I fail to make them proud, she does comfort me but only when I fricking cry from a very sad movie😭, however, there's still not enough love, care, and attention left for me....
I grew up in a pretty complicated family and favouritism is pretty much common. My dad's fave is my second half-brother while my mom's is my half-baby sister. I'm not bothered by it anymore tbh :^
