- Yoll hoots to designate her territory. More precisely, this is a warning signal that she is the boss in this place. Yoll considers the room her personal space, and tolerates me in it, because "So be it. I'll let you live for now."
Most often, "uhoo" can be heard when she believes that I am allowing myself too much freedom and doing something wrong. For example, when I don't let her go out when she wants to, or when I come home when she isn't expecting me.
She also says “uhoo” when she just wants to remind people who the queen is. This is why she doesn't hoot when we walk on the street or when we visit someone. Yoll knows that it’s not her territory, and she has no moral right to hoot in that place.
When I drove her to the village, she began to hoot in the attic after 4 days of living there. Apparently she decided that the place was suitable for her so she claimed the place for herself.
Well, and if she doesn’t hoot to me, it means that the princess is happy with everything or she is just lazy.
When alone, Yoll doesn’t hoot. She hoots only at people: me, guests, or the neighbours. She also doesn’t hoot at the cat, since she considers it below her dignity, or she simply does not want to talk with potential food.
