A magical, melodious piece of art. We’re reading the novel in our HS English class, as Russia is invading Ukraine no less. I couldn’t be more inspired by Doerr. Well done, Sir!

I had to come here and see the man who created this masterpiece. How is it even humanely possible to write so well, I don't know, but it's such a beautiful book.

Great interview! It's so nice to get an insight into the writing of this amazing novel. It's one of the best books I've read and I recommend it to all my friends & family! I loved the structure of the book, the intertwined storylines, all the different vivid characters, the moral dilemmas, and the great descriptive imagery especially Marie Laure's blindness. Despite being set during WW2, there is a lot of love in this book - Werner's love for his sister Jutte, Marie Laure's father for his blind daughter, Marie Laures love of shells, and Werners love of science and radios. A masterpiece!

I love this book. I’m a big fan of historical fiction. I thought Anthony Doerr did a fantastic job and did so much research into the book. He made it felt real and not fiction with some hints of history, he told a story and its definitely has becomes one of my favorites books of all times! Glad my English teacher “made” us read it in class.

Nice! It wasn't a very objective interview though but that's not a big problem
