Solar Ash is underrated. i played it back when it was an epic store exclusive. but that's probably also why it flew under the radar. epic games may give the dev's a good deal but it also has a good chance of making an indie game fly under the radar on PC.
I like the fact it’s not too combat focused so I’m likely to be able to persevere through the exploration. The odd performance judder isn’t a big deal for my 30fps eyesight lol
Thanks for the review! I absolutely adore HLD and was always hoping this would get a decent enough switch port - and it looks like it did! HLD was always going to be tough to match, but I'm intrigued by the devs trying their hands at more offbeat games.
So I've never played Hyper Light Drifter, but I'm definitely going to get Solar Ash. It looks really stylish. Makes me think of Haven in its colour palette. I'll wait for a patch though. Maybe they can optimise it just a bit more together with solving the bugs.
Seems to be one of the better Switch ports, (bugs aside), maybe this will give the game a better reception this tine around. I remember this game being hyped for its original release, then it came out got decent reviews, and no one talked about it. I was honestly confused as to why exactly. So this could fix that.
6:02 Hey thank you, first reviewer that I see adressing this. Never played the full blown 3d Sonic games or Shadow of Colossus, and even thou I love Hyper Light Drifter to the very core of it, I dont think Solar Ash is good pick for me just for looking great. I think TUNIC might be more up my alley.
I just came to say this, but if you play Post Malone song, circles it changes your entire experience with that game please somebody try this I need to share this great idea
Thanks for watching, liking and subscribing! Will you be checking out Solar Ash? It just dropped on Xbox as well on Game Pass if you have the option!

You seen the new one that's coming up. Hyper light breaker, looking forward to that. Seems to combine both this and drifter and packs co op too
I absolutely loved Hyper Light Drifter, way back when.
Does this have a physical copy can't find it on Amazon
Those visuals have got me I love them!! I must purchase!!
I like these kind of art style. Any other games like these?
Maybe the Pathless?
Sounds good but maybe it's best to wait for a patch for that sound issue.
I love the palette and mechanics! It looks great!❤❤❤❤

Did these developers make the pathless? It looks very similar
Different developer, this team made hyper light drifter. Same publisher though
Reminds me a bit of thr Gravity Rush series, but without the gravity shifting.
Disasterpeace participated but Troupe Grammage is the main composer, everybody get this wrong all the time T.T
I've always wanted to try this on PS5
I havent played the original release but this one looks good to me, I think they did a nice work in the port
Seems like a nice, if not basic, game. My only gripe would be the time mechanic, not something I enjoy in a game.
Physical. Please. When?
Please.
If it happens I imagine it will be via iam8bit. They tend to partner up
@@SwitchCorner yeah, I'm cool with that!
May have to get this one on PS5
If only they waited until the Switch 2 released to release this game? It most likely would have made for a higher quality port.
Kids don’t know what jetset radio is

Honestly it's way better, Hyper Light Drifter was actually rather bad.
