You can hear genuine pain in his voice. I empathize with him. This song is a memorial to all those relationships that would have lasted forever but something unfathomable happened and with time deteriorated the relationship until it was no longer sustainable and is long past recovery. Have I just went through a bad break up, maybe so this hits close to home.

I understand you. I feel the same. We had something that was beyond special. We broke up over a year ago, and hearing the last few lines of this song brought tears to my eyes. It's really sad to me how I didn't feel pain in my heart, even though I started tearing up. It's incredibly sad to me that we had to break it off and that she's with someone else now. This definitely is a song very close to heart.
