I suggest you don't throw away the stock air filter even if you are using BMC or any aftermarket air filter because when you send it to service centre for periodic service, they just blast it with compressed air always, i have seen even the "premium" 3rd party service points with "trained" professionals do it like that. so just replace the stock air filter when you send it for service and replace it back after servicing and clean the cotton air filter yourself or those who know how to clean it with cleaning kit of specific brand of your air filter

All BMC filters come from Italy and they decide which models to make for and I’ll check on this possibility.

I just got the BMC air filter for my hunter 350. Low end torque has increased I feel and the acceleration is smooth!. All over power may not have a big noticeable difference. But better than stock for sure.

I have scram 411 obd2 i m confused.. is it closed loop system cause RE has changed its Fi system to indian manufacturer so my question is will bmc + FF exhaust is enough with stock ECU? Or do i need a piggy back system
BMC & FuelX will make a perceptible change in throttle response even in the latest BS6.
Race Dynamics ECU & FF exhaust will bump up Torque and BHP.
One item will.not make a perceptible difference. It's a combination that does.

Stretch and go for the whole hog and you'll have a significantly fast motorcycle. If you have to drop an item, drop the FuelX and add the rest!

There's not much performamce one can get from a Royal Enfield.
Try the FuelX and BMC.
So if we change air filter to a performance one, then we should also opt for performance ECU mods? to compensate extra air.
Not required. The stock ECU has enough software room to auto adjust to this BMC.
However, the adsition of a FuelX module if available for your model will help throttle response.
What about aftermarket free flow exhaust, is it necessary? If engine inhales better it needs to exhale better as well right?

Not necessarily. More air means better combustion.

Hi sir, should we also not change the stage 2 cap of the air filter for more air flow? I mean, instead of the stock air filter cap, like in DNA air filter also provide stage 1 and stage 2 does BMC has same as well?
Not necessary but can do. Stage 2 mod also fills up the filter with dirt faster thus requiring more frequent cleaning.

You can install

I don't think it will have any negative effect. But warranty may get affected.

I suggest that you change filters post warranty expiry because the dealership may void the warranty if you fit the BMC. So better stick with the OE element for now.

Exhaust and air-filter can be changed independent of each other. Together they can deliver improved throttle response.

Inspect every 5,000 kms whether it needs cleaning. And irrespective, clean once every 10,000 kms.

Well good to know somethings can be repaired ( as in this case cleaned ) ... environmental impact is lower than use n throw..... so yes would prefer one such filter over OEM anyday

You can use BMC and it works well. Check with BMC where you can buy genuine filters.

I still have it and enjoy it on big open roads. And if and when I plan to change, I will move to a lighter machine. For now since it's my 2nd motorcycle, it's perfectly good as it is. Cheers!

Yes, it can help a carb engine too. May be 1/4 turn richer on the MC screw.

I’m owning a gt 650 with stock airfilters, spark plugs with red roosters slip on exhaust
I thought like free flow air filters are needed when the exhaust channel is totally free flow(without catalytic converter)
Am I correct or shall I change the filters and spark plugs too and will more air intake to the engine spoil the engine?
These are performance air-filters and not a "free flow" as such. Ratehr its an improved flow.
This increase in air flow when combined with a performance exhaust helps deliver it's full potential. The stock ECU has enough room to accommodate this. However when the ECU is upgraded too, the triple combo provides maximum bump up in performance.

I have fitted Bullet 500 carburettor on it and right now I have UNI air filter and the air filter is not that effective and carburetor is not utilised to it's full potential because of the air filter. Model specific filters are available as OEM replacement. So check with BMC India to know the model that will fit the OEM airbox on your vehicle.

Sir, i own int 650. I completed 6000kms. I dont go for aftermarket exhaust, but if i use after market air filter does it make my bike better in mileage/power with out damaging engine? Im not getting clear answer anywhere sir!
If it helps my int 650 in mileage its a great thing to me, but with out causing any harm to my engine. Its my first bike from my parents😊. I want to keep it

Since i live in a dusty area i was scared but now feels like I'll order bmc air filter for my Mt-15. The question is, will my stock ECU adjust to the bmc air filter. I own a BS6 Mt15 version 1
Stock ECU will adjust. And BMC filters better than stock. But, if you are so concerned, stay with stock for peace of mind.

No issued for the engine. There's enough room on the ECU map to account for the marginally better air inflow.
