Your comment about them at 29:19 of them being "like silly putty on wheels" got me thinking. How would a set of tires handle with non-newtonian fluid instead of foams? If the right viscosity could be found, maybe they would handle amazingly, or horribly. Possible "weekly dumb" content?
I'm just thinking here..not the pro but how about putting them on Mz. Direction Just a thought. I saw that another member is going to print you some inserts. Great video as always.
They could be a good candidate for blue sky high. Can't wait to see what they could do with some insert tuning! Had a thought regarding making the inserts, should be easy and cheap, just take a little time. Take the current foams and cut off the outer half and keep it. Get some suitable sized foam pipe lagging (the grey stiff stuff), cut it down to the right width, cut the inner ring out to the 1.7 size and trim the outer down to fit the original outer foam. Maybe an hours work and cents for the lagging. Will be handy to have the rest on standby for future custom inserts!
... absolutly agree !!!!!!! a 2-lay insert ... stiff inner circle and soft out . and a LCG light truck (or a negativ G ) ... the new 3-.D-prited "foams"" have a incredible stable sidehold .. and a very soft center push ... i think they are absolutly perfect for this tires !! Greetings from Germany
Love me some claws! maybe they're ment for moa comp rigs what do they weigh 3-4 pounds? I think the Da Vinci of rc could make an insert that would work. Awesome as always thanks.
I guess some soft 3D printed inserts will help the downsides of the tire For what rig to put this tires on, maybe they will fit on the purple one that runs on Duratrax Pivots (i cant remember its name, my bad), but i think the Baja Claws will be big enough to not fit (Pivots are 106 and Baja Claws are 114, not much diference tho)
Stretch them on to 1.9” or make an own ring in the lathe that is 1.7” inside and 1.9” on the inside so you can fit timtins who maybe need to be a little bit more narrow 🤔
If 7 is the lowest? That side hill was a 6.9. Keep it real. I have never seen a tire that needs a good well fitted printed insert as much as this. Great vid.
I guess I gotta be that guy (the Russian judge) and disagree with the sidehill score. That is the worst sidehill I can remember seeing in at least the last 4 months. If the scoring is supposed to be 1-10 but you are capping it at 9.9 and the low at 7.0.... that was maybe a 7.2 at best. That makes the most sense to me because I agree with the 9.8's and as I think you've pointed out.... anything with that much pure forward drive has got to be equally bad on sidehills. That's my 2 cents anyway. 🤓
Regarding your concerns/ confusion about these possibly having more forward drive than the wider 1.9 Bajas - watch some videos on real 1:1 scale tyre testing by offroad/ overlanding experts. There's a lot of argument and evidence to show that narrower tyres have a larger contact patch than their wider stablemates, under certain conditions. The results will surely transfer across to the small scale world.
It was hard even typing this… try the tires on junkbot… don’t shoot me but I started feeling junkbot pain “L”… I know he has strait axles but my sympathy runnth over
CLIPBOARD!! 🤣 ok so these are pretty narrow. If only those timtin inners fit a 1.7 because then you could square them up and cut'em in half and do something like a web wrap style insert. 3D print seems to be the way for this tire being such an odd size
I run CI Lil Nova's in mine. I run the 1.55 version as they're a bit narrower and a bit taller than the 1.7 version, but the 1.7's should be easy enough to shave and customize to work. If you can get your hands on some 1.55 beads, the soft front/medium rear combo is perfect on my 6lb rig.

So while you're moving, the tires would be fully-inflated, but whenever you stop they'll just slowwwly go flat? 😂
Most full size moon buggies, a lot of full size crawlers, and farm tractors run water in their tires for weight & traction.
1 million diff oil to start and moving up to congealed bacon grease from the bottom of the frying pan? It'll smell great, even if it's shit 🤷♂️
I'll print you some inserts 😊
Another awesome episode ❤😊
Injora is sending more better stickers with their wheels - they are listening! I've been dying to stretch these same 1.55 onto a 2.2..
I just got some great stickers with some Injora shicks for my SCX24 👌
Shocks lol.
i could see myself running 4.5inch tire on 1.55 beadlock. Got a Cherokee XJ hardbody who needs small rim tall tire! Thank you.

Can we combine a normal 1.55 foam & the beans in these?

Maybe one of the truggy crew could use them?
Would hair buns work in them?
I would say the Vanimal might be a candidate for these if they would fit. Forgot the height of his current tires

Wiley all day. Light rig, less smush and better sized to help with the pumpkin hang ups.
27:35 😂😂 this sounds like a "power" but in russian language) (мощь).
What is the actual word you said here? I can't hear😅))) thanks 👍
As am an endless fan of onomatopoeia, I'd say the closest transcription would be "moosh," but like... imagine it italicized. mmmmoooshhh.
Can you put these on buffalo bill? He's light and that maybe pretty scale to see. Cheers
I already have 2 tshirts. Would love stickers. Didn't see that on the website.

How heavy is the Vanimal? These too tall for him aren’t they?
hello canyon community.

Beans on some 1.9’s.
Maybe on the van-i-mal?
