I love how this implies that Han and Li not only had a past together but trained in the same dojo under the exact same master. Han was smart enough to leave, Li wasn't.
Isnt this the subplot of snake in gi joe😅😅😅😅
But didn't Han learn from his father🤔

Sir Bruce Lee was unmatched
😂 that's funny
2:35 A sharp divide between Mr. Han and Mr. Miyagi. Mr. Miyagi knew what he was doing and that he only meant to stop Kreese from taking his anger out on Johnny. Mr. Han almost let the heat of the battle get the best of him in that moment and nearly forgot WHY the fight started. What he was trying to prevent. That's a better reason for why the students showed respect, I think. However, regardless, this scene would've taken away the fact that Dre had earned respect with his victory.
Also something ive seen around is Mr. Han vs. Mr Myagi. See in terms of full skill and mastery of their styles, Mr. Miyagi definently wins. However considering how much more modern Mr. Hans style is, i think he would win, however if they both were in their prime, Miyagi would very likely win
@@blanke02 they will not fight because both are men of honor & peace, both will be winners
@@leusmaximusx Jackie chans a real fighter
@@WrestlingEmpireKing fighter for what ? only fools look for a fight and adores fights
@@leusmaximusx there’s many who do i don’t know where you got this bias opinion from but both are sigmas
Considering the amount of work clearly put into this, it’s surprising that this is a deleted scene
I'm not. Costly and difficult scenes are cut all the time in movies. This scene does a few things wrong.
It makes it seem like Dre got the respect from Mr Han whooping their masters ass instead of Dre earning it himself from his win
It, imo, in the wrong way and unnecessarily shows Dre teaching Han a lesson. The correct way was the way he already did with the car scene with him helping Han heal a little (or starting the path to healing) instead of a moral/kung fu lesson like we see here.
With obv parallels to the original, the way the movie was cut, the "Johnny" character seemed to have a Kreese temprement of being a vicious aggressive psycho, and the "Kreese" character seemed perhaps a bit closer to Johnny in that he didnt seem like a psycho, just an overly macho and prideful dick who promotes bullying. This scene kinda adds some of the violent psycho of Kreese into the master that wasnt necessarily there before (tbf the master here is a smaller character than Kreese. Not that Kreese was a large character to begin with.). So I think it causes a confusing mix.
It paints Han in a slightly bad light which, while not a forbidden thing to do to your stories "good guys", this isnt really that type of story so it feels kinda out of character.
Its a fun scene overall and a chance to show off Jackies skills without fighting a bunch of 12 year olds, but I think it is a bit problematic and brings the story down a bit regardless of how fun the fight scene was.
@@shino4242 honestly, that’s a damn good way of thinking about it. I thought it was a mistake fr them to leave it out but reading that makes me understand why it was important for it to not be in the movie
The whole scene feels so out of place with the rest of the film, which is why it didn't make the final cut. But it is fun to see this.
@@shino4242 fr, he could have beat their master’s ass and could have done it earlier, but that would ruin the whole point of the movie xD.
@@bentonxavier5094Nah, it feels just right. A great ending. The movie feels broken without it.

It’s funny. In the original movie, you can see Master Li laying on the floor when Mr Han is walking away. I caught it when I saw the movie the first time and always wondered why he was laying there!
I liked the original one where Miyagi mocked Kreese in front of everyone and they started laughing
Now we see why those students gave respect to Jackie at last
Their Master Was Cruel to everyone and even to the students

What were they thinking deleting a jackie chan fight
@@pirateninja5735 I think it's because a Chinese tradition, two sensei's can't fight against each other

Me to this is so good

it doesn't make common sense as well
like, where's the security
I'm actually glad they decided to not keep this ending. It's a very animated fight and it only shows that Mr Han didn't learn to let go even after he had that very emotional scene with Dre.
Yeah, the people here that are "pro" this scene being in the movie are just both blinded by "cool Jackie Chan fight scene!" and just thinking "violence is cool" with a poor understanding of writing. removing this scene was absolutely the right call. As fun as the fight is, its very problematic from a story point of view.
which emotional scene with Dre I forgot its been a long time sense I saw the movie
What are you talkin about he was protecting a kid
Well you have to defend yourself wth. Just because you moved on from your own trauma doesn't mean you get your ass handed to you. At the end of the fight, that i agree with you but up until then the other dude started.
I completely disagree. He was protecting that kid from a bad abusive teacher. And that guy decided to try and fight him when he was trying to correct him on some thing. So no, this doesn’t say that Mr. Han has not learned his lesson it’s just him protecting a kid. And plus he showed the guy mercy once when he beat him, so it’s not like he didn’t have a chance to pack away and let it go in reality. It was the teacher that needed to learn to let it go.
2:18 that kid at the back told han to beat him 😂
What really? I though he was saying pls dont

See, this scene always gets to me about how real mr Hans character is. Mr. Miyagi was always perfectly in control in every situation, and came across to other people as an absolute perfect angel. But Mr Han showed the reality of battling self control, and made the mood of the fight so raw, especially considering what was revealed about his past. So much pent up anger that he almost completely unleashed on this man. But Dre was able to help Mr Han find himself again. I really appreciate that about this character.

Damn. Never knew there was a deleted scene. Powerful!!
This fight right here is a straight resemblance to Jackie Chan’s older movies and I love it. 😊
Man Jackie Chan at The Karate Kid 2010 Face was like my Father face
They should’ve rereleased this as an extended movie version
In Chinese culture, it is considered very disrespectful to leave your master for another; one must show their utmost loyalty to the one who taught you. Although his intentions are bad, up until this moment, Mr Miyagi has not shown any physical abuse towards his students. This deleted scene perfectly illustrates why the students left their master for Mr Han at the end, not because Mr Han is 'better' but really because Mr Miyagi betrayed his students.
Didn’t he slap one of the students because he showed mercy while sparring?
It's not Miyagi in this 2010 movie.
It's not deleted in the first release
It's Mr. Han, not Miyagi wtf?!?! 😂

@@Usos5687 Bro he was in the movie so it was already his! I only watched it for Jackie Chan anyways ;)
My theory is they both were at the same Kung Fu Class in their youth and Jackie quoted their teacher back in the day. Li followed the path of his master while Han split.
You’re theory would be wrong since his father taught him and they don’t appear to be brothers in the slightest
mr han learned the no mercy motto when he and dre went to their studio though lol
Nope, Mr. Han stated in the movie that he learned Kung Fu from his father.
This scene Should not be deleted.. It makes more sense.. The kids saw the true colors of their Master and respect Jackie..it also shows mercy
The poor master did not know that he is only master but jackie chan is grand master 😉

This scene really proves the remake wasnt just gonna be like the original it had new ideas and a much darker tone
Bro that ending was soooo good why did they deleted and replaced it it was very good the slap of the mother was the best thing in the deleted ending
It's not a deleted ending it's and extra clip
@@kindle37 It is deleted Ending. If you notice the Ending that was said to be canon, you would notice that the Teacher was lying down in the floor, as if he just lost a fight (guess what, it is this fight).
It's deemed to stole the spotlight of Dre's win (remember, he is the Main Character of this film, not Mr. Han), so the scene was deleted.
As much as I like that scene it would just steal Dre spot in the end since he is the main character and the ending was very emotional. I think they could add as a post credit or an extra DVD scene.

removing this scene was absolutely the right call. As fun as the fight is, its very problematic from a story point of view.
Yeah but I’m somewhat conflicted, choreography is good, and the fight overall is entertaining, but yeah in the context of the movie,it’s quite conflicting.
@@undrated8265i disagree. Mr. Han was protecting that kid, even though he beat up Dre and fight, dirty. Because he understood he only was doing what his master told him too. So he was simply protecting them, and then the master chose to strike at him. There’s nothing problematic about this. Besides hearing his own teachings said to him when he is the one who is down, I think that made him think about what he was teaching.
@@chaosinorder9685 i respect your opinion but my view is that this movie is about dre. dre just had emotinal scene with mr han and he just won which was a nice heartfelt moment but then they randomly make a fight scene, just so dre can say "no." the ending was cool but it should've been maybe before the final scene. like maybe at the dojo when they witnessed one of the kids getting slapped. i respect your opinion.

They really should of kept this in! It's vintage Jackie, lol. The part with the chairs and falling wushu sticks was like something straight out of Police Story 1-4.

Why this scene has to be deleted?!? This is the perfect definition of KARMA
that slap wwas personal🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭💀💀💀💀
If they brought part of this scene as a flashback to the new Karate Kid movie coming out... It might work. Just tweak the ending of this deleted scene a bit and take out the part where Mr. Han succumbs to not letting go. Then just use AI Voice for Jaden Smith and don't show him for the rest of the small scene. Mr. Han is coming back.
That slap at the end was personal qnd respect to karate kid
Fantastic movie
What I like about this scene was that it was more realistic than KARATE KID 1984 where they made Mr. Miyagi defeat Sensei Kreese like Kreese was no fighter at all.
1984 still better than this. This is actually unrealistic.
But in my opinion they shouldve atleast added the scene of him stopping that teacher from beating the students and then when respect him makes sense too right
