Thanks for dropping by and staying at the field while it was practically deserted, Erwin! It was great to see you too again and standing by when I taxiet to your usual spot! 😃🙏
Thanks, Matt! And yess.. I will 🤗 Same as landing. Last week I managed 7 landings on my own in a row. My instructor became quiet. Mostly headwind, but also changing to crosswind on the go. The crosswind ones where not the most beautiful landing a bit or fully off centerline (but still on the runway with all wheels)and could be softer, but I did it. The one where I started to mess up at the thresshold when the wind suddenly changed from right cross to left I initiated a nicely performed go around. My instructor joked if I had seen the light and was very pleased 🤗
Thanks Ron! Briefed the whole procedure upfront, but even when not I will stay calm and work on what I have memorized. I even was so nice to lay my hand on my leg, so my instructor had the opportunity to pull the throttle. Could expect this every flight, just like an EFATO. It wasn't great weather for e.g. stalls and flying circuits. Too much wind and hardly a horizon. The airport was desolated. The airport radio guy seemed to be bored as he started talking to my instructor after my full stop that there was no-one around but us.
Thanks, Charles! You're right and looked like I studied well on the procedure. Engine out, always first carb heat on and pitch for best glide. Than engine checks and if nothing works to restart, prepare for emergency landing, make a plan where to land and run the full procedure and checklist by memory 🤗
Great to see you again and yes did recordings again 😊
