At first, I was sceptical about spending time on this film, but quickly I was attracted to, and got engrossed in the great cinematography, angles and views and the pleasant voice narrating it. Not too much talk, but just right. Loved it. Now I have seen a lot of those islands which were completely unknown to me before. Thank you. (Those vertical cliffs, Wow)
Gratitude comes to mind Tony. Truly it is a Documentary ! Camera work of the highest order. Features of land and nature, with flora and fauna, along with the weather. Shades of light and the colours; so subtle; even Venture II was glowing in different scenes. You caught the power of Dettafoss - Wow is that ever impressive. What a crew ! What a journey ! God and HIs Angels keep you safely on future journeys.
I don’t really comment much on any videos but I hope this message gets to Mr. Tony Fleming. @FlemingYachts I just wanted to tell you that I have watched all your adventure videos. I stumbled across your channel some years ago and during that time, I was bed ridden and had a hard time getting around. Upon watching your adventure videos it gave me a soothing feeling of adventure as if I was there to go along with the ride. Eventually I got back up and recovered. I learned a lot and it had motivated me to push ahead thanks to your videos! It’s made me reminisce of the places I’ve been to and made me want to create my own adventure. One of things I’ve learned about your videos is that the world full of offerings. If you stop yourself from learning and being out there to take on the adventure you’ll never get what you want and experience what the world has to offer. I just wanna also say that I truly admire the Fleming Yacht it’s my dream to just see one in person let alone own one. Anyway thank you Mr. Fleming God Bless you and more adventures for the Fleming Yacht to conquer!
I lived in Iceland from late 1961 until mid 1964. My dad was in the navy assigned to Keflavik NAS, and it was the adventure of a lifetime for me, my brother and sister. We travelled th entire island , loving Myvatn, Aukureri. And Mt. Hekla . 54 years later, returning , I was amazed at the changes and then again how much was the same. It is an amazing place, well worth the effort and time to visit. Beautiful!
This was beautiful. I discovered it while recouperating from broken bones, and I have to say that this trip helped take my mind off some of the constant pain I went through. Will be checking for more of these mini-vacations. Thank you very much!
The dog at Gjogv welcomes all the visitors. Great video, loved seeing the places we have enjoyed again in the Faroe Islands and Iceland, including Grimsey.
Oh, so _two_ years went by then?... - I still keep coming back to these magnificent voyages onboard the beautiful Venture II, these episodes are _pure_ 'mental nourishment', thank you Tony! . . . 🙏💓
Another exquisite journey onboard the unique ''VENTURE II'' accompanied by a fine narrative and a most fitting soundtrack! - Thank you Fleming Yachts! . . . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just watched this for the second time! Absolutely enthralling! Loved every minute. Mesmerizing to watch and listen to. Thanks so much Tony for putting this together. I won’t ever get to visit these places but the way that you’ve presented them and narrated them I feel like I have.
Thank you for this deeply touching trip back to my ancestral lands. Never did I think I would be able to travel to see these amazing lands of my roots. Amazing photography, beautiful gifts of God these lands and hidden treasures. Many thanks again for the inspiring trip of a lifetime.
I'm most grateful for the in-depth and beautifully photographed views of places, flora, birdlife and weather on this voyage. I have long been interested in these destinations, and this was as good as a visit. Thank you.
Watched both part 1 and part 2 in a single viewing, once started I was hooked, thank you so much for a superb piece of film making going to all those amazing places I have visited and loved, If I never visit again your film will always be a fantastic reminder. Thank you all again.
Thankyou for your excellent 2hour documentary. I must say "a masterpiece in photojournalism." I lived 23 years on my 50' Finlandic yacht Helmi, but I am sad to say I learnt more from Venture2. Life is a learning curve.
Frankly spoken I’m no boat or ship guy. I prefer the air, the mountains, hiking or some time ago parachuting.....(64 now) but your Venture II is a beautiful ship, your filming and the complete journey are stunning, Sir! Thx for sharing! Excellent! ❤
What can I say? Absolutely stunning photography and a wonderfully interesting and poetic narrative. Enjoyed this immensely and what a brilliant alternative to the trite so-called programs on TV. Thank you ever so much. Tony Costa. North Wales.
I enlisted in the Navy to get a taste of the sea and spend those 6 years in the North Arabian Sean. I am not 70 years old and landlocked in Orlando. I always think about returning to the sea even buying a trawler and spending the remain of my life bouncing around the Caribbean but being married and not wanting to leave her I stay landlocked. I watch this journeys and dream that I could be there. I believe I would have my seal legs, but I would not have any other value except as a passenger. These videos keep my desire at bay. I am not sure how much longer these will be created, but I hope they never stop.
Dear Tony, I have only recently alighted upon your videos, they are stunningly superb, I have been to Iceland, Scotland and Greenland, apart from the latter brought back many delightful memories, which I cherish, your journey was magnificent and I think you should give the BBC some lessons, thank you sir, may you enjoy many more, best wishes
These videos have prompted me to become a millionaire and tour the world in my own Fletcher yacht. Just kidding. Thank you for sharing through these excellent productions.
It's wonderful to see Part 2 of this amazing trip. The landscapes and scenery are so different on the Faros and Iceland to your Pacific Northwest trips. Thanks for posting so we can enjoy places we only dream about.
Brilliant. Such a beautiful contrast to commercially produced ‘travelogues’ with punctuated grabs overloaded with constant inane chatter. As much conveyed by the stunning cinematography as by the serene narration. So peaceful. What a wondrous place.
Truly fabulous to be able to share your experiences in this way. I have no sailing experience but a thirst for information and understanding of conditions and logistics. A review of crewing, tasks and responsibilities would have provided an insight to requirements but not having this did not detract from full enjoyment.
Your beautiful videos made my decision to end traveling, combined with Covid pandemic, less painful, actually enjoyable, because I know we will never be able to travel to remote places on earth like you do. I am eternally grateful for showing us wonders of Mother Earth.
A high & amazing privilege to be able to venture (no pun intended)on such an amazing journey,I sit at home watching this sort of videos dreaming of maybe some day I'll be able to, live in hope, best of luck for future adventure's enjoy 👍🙂
Thank you for taking me to place I will never see in this adventuresome documentary. You have a wonderful talent of making feel as if I’m there. The kindness and friendliness of the people you have met is so very touching. Seeing that fishermen take the helm of the yacht, was so heartwarming. I’m sure it made his day! He looked right at home behind the wheel🎉
Magnificent. I could not take my eyes away from the beautiful wonder if this place, your calming narration, and an unusually sensitive (for You Tube!) soundtrack. Quite wonderful. Thankyou. Thankyou.
I like it when the poet takes over as you speak. Thx. I have sailed the Great Lakes in freighters in my day and now aspire with a 30 ft folk boat to explore Georgian Bay. Alberg 30 in Collingwood awaits a rebuilt engine winter project. Great music
Wonderful, both Part 1 and Part 2. Made all the more enjoyable as it brought memories of my trip around Iceland in 2005, though on a larger vessel and in gentler weather.
Awesome journey and thank you all so much, for sharing. Truly magical. The historical buildings and vistas are incredible. Your Fleming Yacht is a dream! We live in OZ and it saddens us greatly that we may never be able to get back to the UK, to visit these places you’ve been. Hoping that may not be so! We Realise this great trip occurred in 2012, all the more so we are appreciative to find your Vid! Cheers J & D 🐨
Fantastic video of places most of us will never be fortunate to see, thanks for sharing your voyage. Awe inspiring scenery, almost from another planet.
Loved the virtual tour of Iceland, and bacfk to South Hampton. A friend and I have done similar trips, from Kitimat, BC to the wilds of the North Pacific islands, and came to appreciate as never before the magnificence of Mother Earth. Your trip reminded me so much of our own explorations up Gardner Canal, and so many other places where humankind has rarely ventured. The wish, and desire to do it again is there, inside me everyday. your Venture adventures tame the desire a bit, and is so appreciated.
I like how he doesn't start out speaking 2ms into the start of the video, before my speakers even come out of 'sleep mode'. Much more relaxing and professional than so many other youtube channels imv.
I grew up on the northeast coast just south of Boston, the cold green Atlantic is where my mother, God bless her put me in the soft rolling waves as an infant, she said I wriggled like a madman to get in the 10" deep rolling waves, I'm most at home in the ocean, some primitive part of my brain calls me into the water. Thank you for a beautiful trip at those villages right on the sea.
What a fantastic adventure - a very pleasant way to spend a lazy Sunday autumn afternoon watching it. Thank you for taking the time to re-edit in to two parts.
You all are some hearty people. I did not see one thing in that video that looked easy. But, I'm from Ohio, not so remote. What an extraordinary place. Its so beautiful.
Wonderful video of one of the most interesting places on the planet…been to Iceland sadly, the ship had to miss the Faroes due to rough seas..so glad I saw them here…
At first, I was sceptical about spending time on this film, but quickly I was attracted to, and got engrossed in the great cinematography, angles and views and the pleasant voice narrating it. I cant remember when I've enjoyed anything as much as your narrative of your epic journey. Thank you so much!
You have made me speechless. Many blessings! 🙏
I have watched this video several times. I am still in awe of the sea and the landscapes, and of course your narration. Go well. 🇳🇿
