So happy to see Brooks continuing to share the history of the Smokies through his personal family history! Also glad to hear someone actually pronounce “Mynatt” correctly!!! Amazing to see the humble beginnings of the families who made the area into the destination it is today. Great job as always Brooks and Christy!
Thank you for this interesting ride through the Roaring Fork Motor nature trail. There are some awesome landscapes, and I appreciated some of the photographs of spring flowers and ferns. It reminded me of when I used to go hiking down some trails in the Ottawa region with a backpack full of field guides. Another thing I appreciated was the videos of bubbling water tumbling over lots of rocks. I love that sound, I could sit beside it all day. Again, thanks for this 11-minute beautiful nature tour.
Great video and it's awesome you have a special connection to roaring fork. I enjoy the history lessons and thanks for sharing your history. I love roaring fork and go down it often. God bless yall
God bless you too Sandi! Thank you for coming along with us. This area is so special to us for so many reasons but Brooks family is all thru the Smokies 😊
Loved comfortably "sitting in your car" and enjoying the therapeutic beautiful sites I would not see otherwise. So enjoyed hearing about your roots here, Brooks. Well done!
WHAT a wonderful video. Thanks. Our fave drive (except when we go FAR off the beaten path) is Roaring Fork. Just gorgeous. And thanks for the history lessons as well. Keep on keeping on for the Lord. You're wonderful.
We found the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail by accident on our honeymoon. We saw it in a map, and it looked like it was 5-6 miles, and headed directly Back to the condo we were staying in. So we thought we had found a “short cut.” But when we went, it was after dark, and there was a torrential storm with lightning, and the river was flooded to the point that some water was rushing over the bridges. When you see how high the bridges are, you really appreciate how much water there was during that storm. We did not see another vehicle that whole trip. We didn’t know what we were in for. We drove maybe a mile or two per hour. It took FOREVER. It was really Scary. But we also fell in love with it that trip. We drive thru almost every trip that it is open now. Only this time during the day and when it is not raining. Thanks for taking me there for another trip!!
I felt like I was on a personal guided tour with both of you. I did see the fork in the road. This was nature at its finest and I got to explore how beautiful this area is along with the history. To be connected to this land, is a very meaning to the heart and spirit of the woodlands. The beginning of the beautiful wildflowers to the fall foliage has to be spectacular. The stillness, music of the rolling stream and the majestic dripping of the rock formations, breathing in the fresh air that I could spend time there very often for relaxation and tranquility. A picnic basket would be an extra bonus. The Smoky Mountains were here long before the big tourist attractions and not to see its glory, then you haven’t seen the real Smoky Mountains. Both of your narrative voices are so smooth and calming as well. I am so happy to be part of your subscriber family. Blessings my dear friends.
If we don't have enough time on our stays to go to Cades Cove, we always make sure and drive through Roaring Fork! It's absolutely beautiful and I love that you can go into the cabins! Thanks for another great video!❤

What a beautiful video❤️. I love roaring fork! We walked it in the winter a few years back and had 6 deer cross the road 6 feet in front of us. I love the history lesson, please share more😋
Glad your back!! My step daughter was here for the weekend and we ended up going on this adventure. We love waterfalls but with our health unable to do the hikes but this was perfect! 😊
Another wonderful video. I drove up there in December when most of it was closed. It is so beautiful in spring. It's on the top of my to-do list this October.
I love your videos about the history of the Smokies and Brooks's family. These areas are absolutely incredible. This looks like an amazing place to enjoy the seanery and take some incredible pictures. Do you have to pay to park if you stop to look around? The waterfall were you guys got engaged is absolutely amazing as well. I saw a video on another channel i follow mentioned that they are doing some updates to that area by adding steps and a path. Is this area open in February? It always seems to be closed when we visit. Also is the area where you got engaged open in February? I love seeing the old cabins.
Brooks Do you remember these? Magic World Porpoise Island. Ogles Water Park. Archie Campbell's HEEHAW VILLAGE. The Chiief in Cherokee and The living Indian museum. These are some things I took my children to. They are now 50 and 46. There were many more but I can't remember the names. Thought you might enjoy these thoughts.

If you are parked for more than 15 min you have to have a parking tag unless you have a handicapped tag or placard.

Magic World was my favorite. The dragon roller coaster and Clyde the Camel ❤️. Ogle’s was our summer hang out spot 😊
Wow is this what it looks like recently? We still have until Wednesday when we leave for Tennessee
Kelly we took this footage yesterday 😊. This is what it will look like 😊
@@SmokyMtFaithFoodFun oh my goodness ok it looks really pretty
Got back 2 weeks ago. It's a great road. Maybe I might have seen it a little greener. Set aside at least an hr,just to drive thru. Very pretty.
To locals who owned the road in the mountains that was given with the promise their never be a charge to go to the park
Does your family still own the land Brooks?
No it’s all federal land and part of the Park system.
