It's damn hard for the normal singer to earn money ..this bollywood industry sucked up they are corrupt for sure!! Armaan thank you for showing the back side of music industry it felt so bad dude i had always a thinking that singer sung the song and directly they paid for their effort but the situation is quite opposite they get paid only by the live shows there effort is only wasted !! They wait for the time that their songs get popularity and then they sing that song during live shows..

@@magicrecipe6109 No. This is what is happening now. Sonu, Shaan, KK were the last generation of singers that were paid to sing. Aaj bhi shaayad hi koi hoga jisko paise milte hai. Rest all earn through live shows and TV shows. Kahin padha tha ke Arijit charges abt 50 lacs for big live shows. Rest also charge amount of money based on how famous they are.

The root issue is that music in India isn't well commercialized. We don't see music as a commodity since we have grown up in a culture of free websites and torrents, neither can the general public afford to buy music (or spend a lot of money on it) anyway. This makes going very tough for an independent artist. And that ultimately makes musicians in India try to make it to Bollywood (or any film industry basically), to have themselves heard and establish an audience (yes, social media is changing that trend, but it is still gonna take some time). Whilst artists in the West establish brands of their own, and their (mostly rich) audience keeps getting them bigger and richer.

Music Producers should be paid royalties over singers. The singers earn their whole life through live shows. The music producer (Programmer) gets only a one time fee for his work. The composers and lyricists too make money from royalties till the end of their lives.

This is Music Mafia's rules and their world only.
IPRS or Indian Performance Rights Society is what is supposed to pay artists their Performance Mechanical Royalties but I don't think they do, similarly in USA its BMI,ASCAP and SESAC which does it! If you are an independant artist without a label or m anagement and you want your music on DSPs like Spotify etc , you can use distribution services like TuneCore or (ONErpm, my recommendation, as it is free)
You don't earn money but you earn hearts and fans this is the real revenue of life you earn others smiles or i would say you bring smiles to others faces ❤️

but when singers perform the music on their shows , they take home all the profit the composers , lyricst they dont get paid while singers make money performing their creations .

First of all separate the bollywood and indian music industry.
Bollywood isn't music industry it's a film industry like any other state or country has.
Bollywood has its own style to include music in the film according to the storyline, which is good.
India should have its own music industry. Someone should start a music company to support the individual artists and bands.
There are very big businessmen who can support and invest in it but they won't because they might be scared that will it work because no one in india supports any individual artists until they come from bollywood.
I hope someday we will reach globally through music in our diverse languages and not taking support of any foreign language like armaan is doing.

Being indie artist .. I make money in USD ... I get 100% but the royalties are less as the labels knows the game ... There's a hell lot of things behind the label ...
Mohd Aziz once told Raj Kapoor his (Aziz's) charges before the recording and Aziz was replaced by Suresh Wadkar because Rishi Kapoor thought is was disrespectful. I listened in one of the Aziz's interviews.

The only way to earn money for artists is to write our own songs and release it on our own platforms and promote ourselves. That way we will get all the money as we are not under any label but most artists don't sing for the money, they sing for their passion and love everyone gives to them or else artists would've given up at this point.

The main cause of Indian music industry is they are fooling those artists who have a dream for becoming a global artist to get there song on billboard charts(and winning billboard awards & grammys) and
most importantly there is no physical album sales (CD) in india till now and ⬅️this is what missing now!!!

Nah Ranveer will never invite shwetabh to his podcast 😂😂 Ranveer says that Shwetabh has a "tunnel vision" which is totally wrong. Infact shwetabh has broader perspectives and more practical solutions than ranveer. Shwetabh is more of a practical and real person who is genuinely interested in solving people's problems whereas ranveer is more of a feel good person, a capitalistic person who exploits positivity. In my opinion, Ranveer is butt hurt over a video made by shwetabh in which he expressed his opinions and views on Ranveer's no.1 flirting trick video. And Shwetabh had such valid such valid points which almost felt like a roast video although he was just giving honest criticism. If ranveer is a person who he claims himself to be, he should infact accept that criticism and invite shwetabh to podcast. But i don't think so his ego will ever allow him to do that. Now u might wonder then what am i doing in Ranveer's channel. Tbh, I don't watch ranveer's problem solving or self help videos. They are absolutely cringe for me and i hate these type of "feel good" type of persons. I just watch his podcasts and clips for the person he invites so that i can get some perspective from them like Salil Jamdar etc. Other than that, I don't watch any other content from ranveer. Used to watch it earlier but slowly his videos started to give more "alpha male" vibes which is just complete bs. Shwetabh's content is far far better and practical for me. He ain't cringe for me like ranveer. These are just my opinions.
