  • In May 2024, after completing a semester of university exchange in India, I decided to return home overland.
Instead of taking a plane to Italy, I thought that cycling back, crossing countries and territories with cultures, religions, and languages different from my own, was a wonderful opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
Shiv Nadar University in New Delhi immediately decided to support my journey, helping me purchase a bicycle (Fire Fox Pirate II).
I set off on this trip without training, without any knowledge of bike mechanics, and, moreover, without ever having tried the bike, which had been delivered to me a few days before departure.
I started the journey at the beginning of May from Shonzhy, a small Kazakh village near the border with China. From there, I cycled southwest, crossing Central Asia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and the entire Balkan coast until I reached Italy.
A journey as arduous and difficult as it was beautiful and spectacular, which allowed me to get to know amazing people with ancient traditions up close!

I have been highly inspired by Paul De Tilly, a french brave cyclist traveller, in doing this journey!
