@@Damselfly54315 fair enough. I think you describe most men who are given the opportunity. The funny is thing a lot of men do these things and end up losing. I did all of the things you describe. After 27 years of marriage I had a heart attack and my wife dumped me because she said she didn’t want to take care of me. So Even if one is a real man he can lose everything.

Perhaps not seeing them being interviewed by a reporter whose focus is the homeless problem on the local news, while they blame everyone and everything else except their personal choices. Then they get angry when asked how long they've been homeless and they say over 10, 20 + years and it's "their right" to choose to live like that if they want to because this is America. If you don't see your kid or kids on the 5 or 11 o'clock news, then that's one measure of success. 🤔

Not always true 6 out of 10 mothers in a relationship are toxic to the relationship and the family. Mothers are number one in most likely to harm their child fathers are 5th on the list. Mothers are most likely to be verbally abusive to their spouse and their children as well. So no unless she’s one of the rare good ones. Rare being the key word!!

You must be young yet, cuz when you hit ur upper years ur almost invisable and that kills more elderly than ppl know, we lose the will to live! Day after day of lonely...its why I fight so hard to be sure my mom still hears from ONE of us EVERY DAY!!! I turn 70 next month and my kids and grands are caught up in their own lives, fighting to work as hard as they can to be sure they have all upgrades done before things go PLOP! Such uncertain times!

My Dad always said, " Nothing! Keep your money ". I miss him so much. His last Fathers' Day, I told him the best thing I could give him was prayers. 😢. He passed 6/21/01.
I’ve heard most dads just want to spend time with their kids. I did this all the time not just Father’s Day. But, on FD us kids did everything we could do for our dad. Cut grass, cooked (grilled) Etc. It was whatever he did or wanted to do. It truly was HIS day!

Yes, we mostly just want a peaceful, restful day. A good meal and cheerful family, hug from loved ones, that’s it. It’s not complicated.
What we don’t want is crabby people, gifts we get that we ultimately have to pay for ourselves, token gifts or even Father’s Day cards. We would rather the money be saved. Just peace and quiet. A nap on the couch. A visit to a dog park with sandwiches and homemade peanut butter cookies.
It’s the simple things.

it depends on who your kids are, they want their kids around more than anything, they want to be appreciated for busting their backs and loved and not forgotten, if it's a gift then it better be well thought out, not expensive just well thought out or from the heart, but fathers usually don't really need anything, remember gifts make a person feel indebted anyway, who the hell wants that? give the old man something that reminds him he's king of the castle
