My first thought with #2 was an elk (yes, I've seen and heard elk in the wild. We used to camp all over the U.S. and Canada when I was a kid, and I've also lived in Africa and the UK. I've been in a lot of different wildernesses). I looked up elk calls and yep, they sound a lot like that. Also, a wild elk was accidentally hit and killed on a freeway near Chicago in December 2023, the first sighting in the area for two centuries. It was one of two elk, apparently originally from Wisconsin, who had entered the state and state authorities had been tracking both for over a month. So, there are elk in that part of the world. Could still be a hoax and I do lean that way, but if he did add the sound, I'm guessing it was (wait for it) an elk call.
Here’s a constructive tip for the narrator: Mark every second full sentence in your script with two different colored highlighters, one after the other. That will create a better oversight of the script and improve the flow in your narration. You will therefore avoid odd punctuation and hesitations in mid sentence - as you do now. Use a third colored highlighter for words or paragraphs that you want to emphasize. The goal is to sound less monotone and know when to punctuate. Believe me, it will improve your performance a lot.
You should have kept playing the Art Bell call. When he gets cut off they loose power at the station and all calls are dropped. The guy that called later is an asset posing as the caller. I know this for a fact. These beings are so far on the negative spectrum they dont care about us. They see us as their property. But,, no one believes it because they have not seen them.
That last bird call is so sad and haunting. But whether the bird is truly extinct is...iffy. The truth is that our grasp of local ecology is slippery and species go extinct all the time that we don't even know existed, while ones we think are gone sometimes are spotted unexpectedly years, decades or even centuries later. Note that I'm not trying to understate or downplay the catastrophic loss of habitat and species due to human intervention, especially in island environments like the Hawaiian islands. But often, declarations of endangered or extinct are guesstimates motivated by where best to direct scarce conservation funding and there have been claims over the years (particularly in relation to the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker) that local authorities may be protecting certain very endangered species by hiding the whereabouts of surviving individuals/populations and insisting they don't exist. Claiming that the Kaua‘i ‘ō ‘ō, Carolina Parakeet or Passenger Pigeon, for example, might not be extinct and are still being sighted somewhere is vastly different from claiming to have seen Bigfoot. We know for a fact those three bird species existed and recently. We're just pretty sure there aren't any left.
I hunt, and am a pretty seasoned outdoorsman I would say. I have heard and seen some amazing and beautiful sounds and sights. But hearing a wolf “laugh” in Alaska on a Bear hunt in 2017 is the only time I Peed my pants (I mean for real)and thought Skinwalkers were real. Only heard it once and have yet to hear it since. To be honest never want to again. It sounds just like a Fox laugh only deeper and more menacing.
Thank you, top 5s!! Pete, I've come to really enjoy your narration ❤ I think your softer and melodic voice lends to an eerie contrast to the material discussed. Keep up the great work; I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2025! Happy New Year!

I've listened to Coast-to-Coast for years, and that phone call is not really unusual. A lot of the callers sound like goof-balls, space-cadets, and mental patients etc.
Worst thing I ever heard, EVER is the Jim Jones tapes. Oh my god it was awful. We did a whole session on Jim Jones and the Jonestown cult in college psychology class and study how cults were formed. So we were listening to his sermon recordings. But the final tape we heard was recorded the day of the mass su!cide. On the tapes you hear everyone, including babies, wailing and crying in agony from the effects of cyanide poisoning, the pleading from the people begging for him to spare their children, the gunsh0ts as he and his henchmen sh0t the people who were begging not to take it. Several of my classmates couldn't bear it and had to leave class. On those tapes that is the voice of pure evil. That was an evil, evil man.
Visited Maui and Kaui last year. While it is still lush, it really does notably lack the colorful, beautiful birds both islands are supposed to have. Saw a lot of mongoose though. 😢
tell me why the saddest sound was the bird in the last one... especially when you talk about that the bird returned thinking it heard another of it's species after so long 😢😢
I believe the no 4 sound may have been made by a bigfoot. I don't know about the guy who made that video; but if that were me, I would've gotten out of there so fast you'd've seen a trail of smoke behind me! I've known about The Sierra Sounds(the no.3 story) for a long time now. I truly believe that they were made by bigfoots(or is that bigfeet???). The no.2 story sounds like something out of the movie Independance Day! That guy sounded pretty convincing!! If this was all staged, he should be acting in movies(or maybe he did afterwards... Who knows?)!

@BigArt1970 nonhuman entities
I thought the Area 51 sound was the scariest one
I hunt, and am a pretty seasoned outdoorsman I would say. I have heard and seen some amazing and beautiful sounds and sights. But hearing a wolf “laugh” in Alaska on a Bear hunt in 2017 is the only time I Peed my pants (I mean for real)and thought Skinwalkers were real. Only heard it once and have yet to hear it since. To be honest never want to again. It sounds just like a Fox laugh only deeper and more menacing.
Loving the new narrator! Great job ❤
Hearing the call of a Kauai Oo singing for its mate...never to hear their mate respond back. Its beautiful but haunting...
She was in next plane of existence. Hopefully they were reunited one day ❤
Happy new year Pete :)
Thank you, top 5s!! Pete, I've come to really enjoy your narration ❤ I think your softer and melodic voice lends to an eerie contrast to the material discussed. Keep up the great work; I can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2025! Happy New Year!
I listened to this Art Bell episode live back when I was 16. It spooked the hell out of me. These sorts of things were more or less primitive ARG.
A lot of people believed that his "confession" was coerced or forced outeight.
I think Petes voice is soothing
Im not gonna lie I hated on this narrator at first but I think it's just because I was so use to the original one. Kind of like when your watching a TV series and your favorite character all of a sudden is changed with a different actor . Your doing a great job my guy, were. Just creatures of habit
What the heck you talking about??
Doing a great job?? Don't talk shit he's ruining this channel with that weird AZZ voice. We need the old narrator back
'Experts believe the sound made in the video was a bigfoot' - what? 😄. I love you guys, but I'm not sure how you said that without cracking into a laugh.
That made me laugh too 😂
Dude these were great. Keep them coming
The last one about the birds brakes me up inside.
*breaks
same, I had to pause the video I could not bear to listen to it until the end, it's the saddest thing I heard all year
I wanna say I think you’re doing a great job Pete. Thanks for the interesting content.
😪 The O o bird!! 🕊️
First one of the year 👍🏻🇬🇧👀...
Sorry to ruin anything but the second video in the wood with the mushrooms is a over-layed sound effect. I have the exact same sound effect on my PC. Its part of a horror collection pack for those who make music, tv and movie sounds and things alike. again, sorry.
So we know the new narrator's name is Pete. But what is the original narrator's name? I've watched this channel for YEARS, and I don't know his name
🛑
Hold up, people still moaning about Pete, the narrator? If you don't like it, don't watch the channel or watch the subtitles. Stop being such whiny beaches ⛱️ 😂
He's doing what he is supposed to and doing it well. 🙌🏼
Happy Friday Pete.
Really enjoy the non explicit titles again. Thankyou for listening to your viewers, you’re doing a great job :)
Because you are 12 year old who is scared of their own shadow get back to your mother's breast baby
I don't know the scream in the second video, but I know I will never return to that area. Something screamed get out!!! ✌️🏾
Man, it’s a joy being the only blind person here
Good one ❤
That last story 😢
The area 51 phone call got me going vary convincing
8 bloody Love this channel it's no 1 on my list 💪🏻✌🏻😘
The two dudes sound very different, it seems like Art might have had his suspicions.
Man I remember when top5s did a face reveal and got flamed hard, I’ve been around since the slender man doc lol. Parts of my life I can remember by seeing top5 animals extinct with videos and photos with that lion as the thumbnail. Time flies. I hope the og top5s guy knows I da grow up on his videos from I think 7th grade jr high to now 21. Big part of my childhood. Thanks mate.
OG Top5s guy here, glad you’ve been watching for so long!
You're still a child. Slender man? Lmao😅
@@michelrood2966lol ik at 21 I still hear that; and yeah man he was a very popular creepy pasta when I was in elementary school i literally remember hearing about those two girls that stabbed their friend for slenderman. Crazy times.
The only sound that stuck with me is the "Dumb and Dumber" scream by Jim Carrey
😆😆😆😆
I’ll be honest that roar sounded like the most generic monster roar ever with maybe some sorts of distortion.
The bird one was tragic and reminded of another video where they talked Aldo Leopold’s essay of the monument to the pigeon.
Horrible police work on the first case.
I've listened to Coast-to-Coast for years, and that phone call is not really unusual. A lot of the callers sound like goof-balls, space-cadets, and mental patients etc.
Aztec death whistle in the woods
"experts say the sound was bigfoot" Experts, huh?
Watched/listened to the Area 51 caller with the original narrator when i first found this channel and it’s still creepy to listen to.
Who cares about mongoose
That sound of "Bigfoot" sounds kinda like a cow bellowing after their calves have been taken from them.
Anyone remember the Art Bell interview with "Victor" who smuggled an Alien interview video out of Area 51 S4 ?
7:36 - Sounds like the wife when I say I'm too tired tonight 😂
Narrator thumbs up! Human rather than AI!!!! Rare nowadays
Yeah Pete. It would be weird if you took off running. You are supposed to have a slow start. Just keep going.
Big foot isn't real. Come on.
He is an alien who travels the universe!
tell me why the saddest sound was the bird in the last one... especially when you talk about that the bird returned thinking it heard another of it's species after so long 😢😢
Bro, since when is 1997 40 years ago
The narrator is doing great, but whoever was doing the titles needed to calm tf down. They were getting really clickbaity for a while there
Top5s clickbait was always notorious and unfortunately some people encouraged them and it got so bad look to what it became.
I live in Northern Illinois and I don't think there is enough forest to support a big foot type creature.
View without earpods !!!
First thing i thought hearing the mushroom noise was that it was the t-rex sound
That phone call sounded so scary every 51
the scream in 2 is all over tiktok, which makes it hard to believe is real.
I believe that one was proven to be an elk or moose or something like that.
I'm scared
#2 That sound ain't no "Jurassic Park". "Jurassic Park" put that sound *in* .
I’ve meet Ron, he’s an awesome guy to talk to. I believe him.
For those interested/ concerned about the extinction of our beautiful animals and birds, please watch the documentary Racing Extinction. It was released in 2015
