Instead of blaming the police for 'targeting' your black children'....maybe YOU should take accountability for not being a good parent. Try parenting your children if they mean so much to you. @@stevenjones1171 I agree....it's not always the parents fault. But it IS up to parents to teach their children right from wrong and to hold them accountable when their child is in the wrong. It certainly isn't teaching him about accepting the consequences of his actions when the mother's first thought is to make money from a lawsuit. IMO as a parent, she should be telling him that he's going to have to accept the fallout from him pointing a gun at homes and threatening to shoot. None of those people should have been subjected to that kind of fear. They had no way of knowing the gun...this time....was a fake.

If a child is living in their parents household and the child is still a child, then YES, what the child does IS the full responsibility of the parent(s)! The fact that the child felt comfortable carrying a gun in this day and age makes me think that the parents do not have good common sense and if they do not have that, it isn’t going to translate to the teaching of the child and that’s if they are even doing that!
Regarding the teen who was holding a fake gun and whose parents are demanding answers, why was he walking the streets with a fake gun? That’s the question that should be asked and answered. Police were called because a caller reported teen was pointing it. Stop blaming the police for responding to what could have been another cop or civilian being shot. The reason there is so much crime is a result of this cuddle approach to bad behavior. Do stupid things and consequences will follow.

There’s also the possibility that this 15 yo also suffered from mental illness. Even more reason for the parents to have watched him more closely and had him on prescribed medicated. Police officers don't have time to debate whether or not toy guns are real let's not make this a race issue its a believable gun issue and you should know never have a weapon or perceived weapon out when cops arrive on scene.

Sure they do! Because even "Real" guns are legal to carry around in public when you're Caucasian even without a permit in many states. Even automatic weapons.... however any black or darker skinned child over 5'4" are automatically considered a dangerous homicidal threat without verification or stated intent of threat verbally or visually.

I guarantee the crimes committed by our youth would diminish drastically... SMH

A 15 year old boy should not play games with the police with a real or fake gun. Didnt he believe the cop would shoot him? I believe the officer made a split second decision to shoot because he had a gun pointed at him.

anyone that "removes a weapon from their waistband" after an officer tells them to "show their hands" is looking for trouble. I can hear and see just fine. I saw that kid not follow orders. I saw that kid reach for a weapon when asked to show his hands. I saw a kid who is lucky to be alive right now. That kid's parents are garbage for not teaching their son to not play with anything that looks like a gun. I don't think that's the issue. The issue is that they pulled the trigger too fast. Remember Tamir Rice? They shot that child before even stopping the car. He was 12, black and outside playing with a toy gun. They hadn't even stopped the car when they shot him and then the cop that pulled the trigger bragged about it on social media. He still has a job. Too many times cops pull the trigger when they don't have to. That's the issue. It all adds up.

Yes, and this is the way Pharma is pushing to put immunotherapy treatment for cancer up front and chemotherapy on the back burner. Even when chemotherapy does not work on a cancer patient and second line is immunotherapy insurance will fight it to nail and tooth to NOT cover the new treatment immunotherapy. Insurance companies are pissed off they feel COVID reap them off their earnings when they had to pay $$$$ for many years. So this is a war between Pharma and insurance industry and people are the little child getting hit with the worse when the parents are fighting.

@@KristinaKarina - I prescribe these medications. Production has been cut by 30%. There is a shortage of Lidocaine, morphine, oxycodone, and hydrocodone for the past year. This situation will likely continue into the next year.

Regarding An Ohio police officer shoots a fifteen-year-old kid. Mom and dad need to be arrested and charged for their lack of supervision of their son (Crumbley case). It would have been so refreshing if mom had expressed regret for her son's careless behavior rather than placing the blame on the police officer. I truly pray the police officer is cleared. If mom and dad sue the police officer, I pray it is dismissed.
