With clouds shrouding the highest hills and very little wind, four of us flew from Mam Tor down through the picturesque Winnats Pass, landing at Dunscar Farm.
I'm a bit worried about popularizing it, as it's not very safe, has limited landing options and can annoy the locals. But we launched from Mam Tor and landed at Dunscar Farm. Both launch and landing sites are agreed (by the Derbyshire Soaring Club) with local landowners and it's best done in nil wind.
Don't know. Quite a few people were smiling, waving and taking photos. Some shouted and whooped but the sounds echoed off the rocks and I couldn't tell who was shouting. One climber hanging off a rock just quietly said "hello" as I flew by.
