Thanks Katharine for this endearing video. It brings me great memories from the only time I has been in London (Although we have travelled to UK more than 15 times and we will come back in August). Our hotel was near Hyde Park. Every morning I ran in this park, surrounding the lake, seeing the swans, glancing some squirrels.
@@englishwithkatharineDear Katharine, not only beautiful necklace, everything: your voice, your eyes and lips, your charisma... Listening to you, I feel like I'm back in my childhood. You are like a wonderful fairy from a fairy tale to me.
Hi Katherine. 👋 Love your playful and engaging teaching. 🙂I think the way you use "duck" is one of many influencing words from the Viking era and the Scandinavian languages. We almost pronounce it the same way, and it has a very similar spelling - "dukk".
Hello Dear Katherine, This lesson is a Special of Specials because it drove me to a Special Room where I learnt and Dreamed and kept some memories of my favourite instructor/trainer/friend in my heart. Thanks and Thanks once again, Warm Regards.
Hi Katherine, I heard some really beautiful English words from you which are from Hyde Park. I like your beautiful necklace and you are teaching me new words Catherine in British English. You are a fantastic teacher
Hi Katharine! You` re always such a ray of sunshine! I `ve also been to Hyde Park, it was very nice to read the book of The Sign of Four. I like works of Conan Doyle. anyway I made up mind to learn English in Italki, I'm bit of excited!
Happy memories of drinking Pimm's in the summertime which reminded me of another summertime drink of elderflower cordial with water, mint and lemon. Cheers!
Speaking of pigeons. I watched yesterday one walking inside Sainsbury's Supermarket at Fulham Broadway Station(District line). It checked every isle looking for food. The pigeon navigated through customers and it wasn't afraid of them. I'm sorry I can't attach a photo of it to my comment.
Good afternoon, my princess...a beautiful sunny day day...hyde park greener than usual...and a splendid pic-nic sort out in a magical way...What a fantastic day! Well, scotch eggs....mmh, I don't know if they're my cup of tea, because I don't love eggs (I know, I'm weird) but the rest is absolutely lovely! Thanks for using the verb "top up"...I've never heard before! Pimms is an adorable cocktail! A bun in the oven is a so funny expression...anyway, preggers is a good slang word to memorize! Looking at your skin, I'd say that you should put a high factor sun cream on your face, 'cause your skin is so soft and smooth; be careful when you'll come and visit Italy, above all if you do it in summertime! I get crazy for the verb "duck"...It's so cute! Ops, in my vocabolary balmy is translated as pleasant, mild and so you shouldn't need to shelter in the shade...as for squirrels, they are pretty cunning! They know people in Hyde park will give them something to eat and so they get cheeky! It's good to use the english words, that I love the most, rather than american words...Real english is that one spoken in England (I'm sure I'll be hated by a lot of people now) or at least is that one I prefer to anything else...I wish I was able to be eloquent some day...wishful thinking😞 Have a great weekend, my princess!
Hi katharine ,thank you for this amazing vidéo whitch i like very much.we have to wait until next friday to see anaother beautiful content.you give a such thouthgprovoking vocabulary ❤❤❤
I wish in Italy we had the huge, fantastic variety and tastes of pre-packaged sandwiches you get in Britain. Yummy. Oh! And crisps too. (Unfortunately we don't).
Dear Gorgeous, You talk about necklace in the beginning of the video, you raise the value of the necklace by having it around your beautiful neck. Take great care of yourself and stay healthy.
There's a corn flakes brand that's favored, in this house, named Hyde Park. I had never heard of Hyde Park in London, before. Maybe it's the equivalent of Central Park, in Manhattan, New York. Speaking of squirrels, many years ago, I was surprised, in Brooklyn's Botanical Garden, in New York, to see a squirrel, on the grass, near me, seemingly posing, for me to take a picture of it. Fine by me. Sorry it didn't get famous, since it didn't sing, nor perform in any other way. I don't even have that snapshot, anymore. Pitiful agent was I, for that squirrel. On that day, I got more interested in taking a picture of a gal I saw, who let me do so. Priorities are not always the same. I didn't even sound eloquent, to that gal, since I didn't even talk at all to her. My camera was the magical tool.
I do like your necklace. I will visit Hyde Park soon and will eat my sandwich there. Pimms? I will go for that but maybe I will top it up with Tequila. Hey, it goes good with frozen lime juice. We say duck and cover sometimes but it a totally different 1950s meaning.
Dear Katharine, have you read ' Wuthering Heights ' by Emily Brontë ? Yesterday I read somewhere about some of those quotes from it. You seem to be more interested in these two women littérateurs , that is Jane Austen and Emily Brontë! Didn't Agatha Christie attract your attention? 🤔
The necklace you 've put on looks elegant on you , Kat ! - I d prefer " preggers " , because "She has a bun in the oven " sound a bit peculiar to me (But a very British way of saying someone is pregnant). - Could you please throw in some vocab for light but nevertheless eloquent footbal conversation next time , now the European Championship is rolling in ?
Hi Katharine I have a fantastic and lovely idea for your stream/podcast. Why you don't go to Hyde Park and make video from there ? trust me you gonna break record
