What about those of us who don't have the funds to drop a few thousand to save a couple hundred in rebates for a renovation that will take years to recoup in energy bill savings? I like breathing cold air when I am sleeping. I turn my heat down at night, close my bedroom door and leave the patio doors in my bedroom open a few inches even in the dead of winter. A heated blanket set for a couple hours and a couple comforters, no problem. Actually sometimes I even wake up sweating and my room is single digits. My back patio is uninsulated, but I really like sitting out there even in the dead of winter. I installed one of those infrared heaters and it is awesome. Even at 0 degrees, I can sit out there and be comfortable with track pants and a sweat shirt. No reason one couldn't be installed in your house, lets say if you work from home in a small office, turn down the heat to the rest of your house, but you are still comfortable. Lastly I got a heated vest for when I walk my dogs, fantastic. Only problem is my little dog has realized if she acts like it is too cold, she gets placed in my jacket and it is a really nice toasty ride the rest of the walk. No reason it could not be used in your house.
Is 68 too high or low I genuinely don’t know, it’s low 30s and we set thermostats to 75 here because your pipes might burst if the house isnt warm enough to let the heat from within warm the pipes in the attic up
I can’t stop watching this-it’s so well done!
Our bills in the UK are double that estimate...😮
Well make sense to me.
I heard putting bubble wrap in your windows? Not sure, but I may try it.
v helpful info...IF you own a house.
