Hi. I think you've made a good job of your scenery. I'd be happy with the result .

I learned a way of placing the plaster cloth and then wetting it and this almost eliminates all mess. I cut the cloth into sections, place it where I want it, pin it down, and then with a foam brush ( or anything to wet the cloth ) wet the cloth. After a short time I can rub the cloth and spread the soft plaster before letting it dry. I have found out that almost all plaster cloth is the same except for the price. The very cheap stuff has a little less plaster but I just add some with a paint brush when the cloth has dried. For a very great teacher find the you tube channel for Boomer Diorema.

Wow that was amazing. Ballasting on youtube has always been like that Carlos Santana song The Game of Love. One type of Ballast is okay but all the Ballast mixed together with water, detergent and PVA glue makes a great accompaniment to a brilliant song. And I have to confess I would love to know more about the 31 Project. Right now it looks like one of those old junk yards that you used to see when the 31's all got sent to the scrappers.
No matter what ( yep that Boyzone Song) scenery is all about the mix.

Great vid! Say, hate to nag but will there be a new part for the Decapod series anytime soon? Your build videos are incredibly entertaining and relaxing, I love the process and commentary spliced with the small bits of history - coupling that with something unusual like the Decapod loco just makes it even better, keep up the great videos - Cheers.

Looks good nigel, have you tried sticking ballast with pledge kleer ? I just put it on with a trigger spray but it's easy to remove if you need to change trackwork. Cheers Russ

Glad too see you treating technology in a British way, good too see the scenery coming, can't wait for the class 31 saga to come to a close. Gota be honest, not a fan of the plastic chassis with regards of structure but also weight...7/6/8 coaches ain't great in model form but oh well. =/
    Keep at it ;D

    Hello Sir!
    Very interesting video.
Quick question: can you advise me where you obtained the relay box (actually “location case” in S&T parlance) with the open doors?
I am helping a mate of mine (who drives Merseyrail Wirral Line units) build a layout and have been looking for something like this for a signalling fault scene cameo on the layout.
I got 41 years service with BR/Jarvis/Network Rail S&T between 1977 and 2018 when I decided to retire.
Enjoying all your video output, real railway or model.
    Keep up the good work!

Using real stone for balast is the ticket. Did I see 15 Class 31's?

Not like you to save the pennies now is it nige!
Hmmm. A 31 at Great Yarmouth? Not my neck of the woods...is that on a preserved line or is there one of these rattly clanky ugly old crappers on the mainline again?

I'd say you should drop your laptop more often but once is probably enough. Keep up the good work.
