For someone who does a lot solo riding in wilds of Montana this definitely piques my interest. At the moment I'm using a Klim F5 Koroyd which is a great helmet, that's living in my older Fly Carbon bag. The bags that come with Klims are well, shit. Especially for a $700 helmet. I'll be following your deep dive into this helmet.
I’m excited about that aspect too. I ride alone a lot and I know my wife would really appreciate another level of safety

All very cool but will you remember to charge it every time I think not, I have a Apple Watch which also detects if I have a fall and alerts relatives and emergency services. Yes I do want a helmet to be safe as it can be but can see all sorts of issues with this technology in a helmet, but hey I still love ya man👍👍
Yeah. The whole charging thing is a bit much. Good thing is that it’s still the best helmet I’ve ever worn. Just has a bonus feature. I wouldn’t remember to charge an Apple Watch either to be honest.
Even if this technology isn't the best, it would increase the safety factor of solo riding and at least with my lady, she'd be all over spending the extra cash if it helps lower the chance of a deadly situation.

Unfortunately the ventilation is quite poor for us Florida boys…
If my kids are wearing this helmet, will it gather ride data without a phone on their body, but sync up to my phone after a moto? I often use the Go Pro speed data but only after I go through the lengthy editing. I was thinking about a lit pro eventually which syncs with Go Pro video/data but maybe this helmet can fill some of the void. I'm most interested in the helmet telling me if my kids's light impact is kaput for the helmet. Both my kids had recent hard crashes and need new helmets (O'Neil and Fox).
It will gather any crash data. No speed or tracking without the phone
@highlandcycles thank you. I grabbed two of the Formula S legacy helmets for my young kids who race 50s. They crash often so will be great to see the ongoing health of the helmet. Their O'Neil and Fox V2 helmets are toast.
If it’s got a battery they should at least have speakers so you can easily jam while riding

I need to find a light helmet, the last Carbon fiber one I had was an AXO it was the best fitting and super light.@@highlandcycles

Hey Morgan I have a Fly Formula helmet and Leatt goggles, but they seem a bit big for the opening or my face - pinch my nose. What goggles fit the Formula helmet without squishing your nose? Any help is greatly appreciated!

100% Racecraft and Armega are a little smaller than Scott Prospect, Leatt 6.5 or Oakley Airbrake

IMO this is a helmet that is linked to your phone. Your phone pretty much does the rest of the work. Most of your App (GPS ect.) features are on a lot of apps anyway. Gaia, Cotrex ect. You might be over selling the perception that the helmet has the technology. Without the phone the helmet technology, which is very little, is useless. Nice looking helmet nonetheless.
I think you are correct about the tracking and stuff. I think the real tech in the helmet is the accelerometer that will detect a crash
