@@marksimons8861 I only listed countries that are lesser known. We all probably know that Iran is Shia. I forgot to mention about Kuwait, 60-65% are Sunnis, but Iraq, 60-65% Shia. Saudi Arabia is Sunni majority but people tend to label Saudi Arabia as Wahhabi but the Saudis don't label themselves as Wahhabi, there's no such thing as a sect called Wahhabi, it doesn't exist.

You are right...I have watching these videos lately and I was impressed by Iraqi jews...they are the best. Very proud of Iraq, their roots, their Iraqi culture and language. Something really special, they are not afraid to express their love for Iraq. Finally, very brave. If all the jews had that mentality, I don't see why they could not coexist with Muslims.

Recently I was discussing culture with an educated person whom I respect. Over bourbon, we talked about various matters, including religion. The conversation was interesting but uneventful until he dropped this line.

It was a jarring line. It sounded both coarse and false. I politely answered that, no, I was not aware of this particular fact. I must have been smirking, because he persisted. “It’s true. Look it up.”
It was at this point I expressed skepticism. Perhaps he meant some villages in the Arab or Muslim world? Nope, he said.
I said I’d look into the matter, something I did several weeks later. To my surprise, I found an abundance of information on the subject. To my embarrassment, I found that my friend was pretty much right. Reliable research suggests consanguineous marriage rates in many Arab nations are as high as 50 percent.

@@shooting_star.. that is not true, only the people of Ahvaz are ethnic Arabs. Most of the Iranian coast is covered by Persian people. Even the Islands like Kish or at the strait of Hormuz. Iran is a multiethnic country and people speak Persian there for the most even though some have Arab ethnics but their culture is Persian which proves you have never been there and just talk out of your stomach. Your argument only relies on the idea of the 20th century when the colonial British encouraged the Arabs to call it Arabian Gulf in order to raise pan-arab-nationalistic feelings.
Just because some primitive Beduins sit on oil and raise skyscrapers in a desert does not mean they can change thousands of years of history. The Iranian side has much more to offer culturally since it south Iran is the very core region of the ancient Persians/Iranians. The woman at 7:15 is totally clueless. I am Iranian and I travelled to Israel in 2015 because I was curious to see the country and had zero negative assumptions in my mind. They treated me horribly at the Ben Gurion airport and questioned and interrogated me for 3 hours. That is not exactly a nice welcome for tourists.....
