Construction is ongoing in Nairobi, Kenya, for Africa's tallest #luxuriousresidentialbuilding , the #88Nairobi, at an estimated cost of $42.8 million. Standing at 176 meters (577 feet), the 88 Nairobi will feature luxurious amenities, including a 21-meter heated swimming pool on the 34th floor and a 24-hour fully equipped gym. Financing combines equity from private and institutional investors, debt from financial institutions, and income from presales, ensuring substantial upfront capital and minimized financial risk.
The project faced delays due to Nairobi City County's slow permit approval process, originally targeting mid-2020 completion but now expected to finish in 2025. As of December 2023, construction reached the 34th floor, with all studio apartments sold, indicating high demand for this prestigious development.
