Another van and another mis adventure and honestly a quality night out testing it, BIG shout and thanks to Jason for making it happen and have to say having had time to mull it over, i can definitely see how one of these van with a few added windows could be a GREAT move in actual Van Life, seen a few builds on these over the years and some of them have looked great, it might not be happen anytime soon probably not this year but heres to having fun testing things out beforehand, hope you enjoyed it guys and have a top evening ... What about getting this van in an extended roof version?
Try a VW Crafter next or a Peugeot boxer there much more squared up inside then the sprinters 👌🏻
Sprinters, transits etc are narrow for a sideways bed.
You want to look for a Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer/Citreon Relay those are wide enough for a sideways bed. You can get L1H1 or L2H1 if you want the low roof or L2H2 or L3H2 if you want to be able to stand up

A pop top is the answer in a van that size Adam 👍
If the bed was the other way Adam, across the van, you would have more space to cook etc. You can buy noise reducing panels, which also makes the van warmer. [ wills whereabouts, a RUclipsr, has brought a old Amazon ford transit to take to Germany to watch the euros, i would recommend you watch his channel and get some tips. He brought the van for £2000 squid. 😂❤

That’s about the right size for you. You can still get under height restrictions Renault traffic and vauxhall Varo are not to expensive secondhand. 👌
Mate you really need to look at Mazda bongo’s. Perfect for one to four people,cooker,sink,pop top. We’ve got one it’s so great to get away in. 4 wheel drive,diesel auto 2.5l. It would be perfect for you brother.

The rocks are actually called Ramshaw Rocks and are the rock formation that give the wink to the winking man with the pub stopover the winking man pub. Heavy rock night on a Friday night too
that van would have seemed a lot bigger if that bulkhead was removed though 👍
Great video, a tip about cooking meat is if the plastic cover on the wrapping is swollen Don't Eat It. I was told this by a butcher.
Iv got a Citroen dispatch it’s ideal for one person, it’s not to big so easy to park and on narrow roads, get yrself a van you will love having the space 👍. Maxx
a shower in a van is pointless, unless you are living in it full time. so many alternatives like camping site, gyms etc and also you do not want all that moisture and potential leaks in van. had one in a motorhome and used it twice in 10 years lol

This Vid is explosive for someone wanting to get into van life...Nevertheless, brilliant little clip here. (I've just got a thing how English evolves) the English language in the UK...(Not you personally). So. I Love the way that you are doing things. I love the way that you stuck a bed in there and a transportable fridge/cooler. A box with stuff and parked up somewhere in a fantastic spot. This really is greatness with all the rain and the comparison of being in acar and enjoying a brew. Classic stuff! The fatalities! This is Exactly the vid for someone that has to get into a van and try how it is without deckin' it out and making loads of expensive mistakes. Quick tip. When you serve your meal, throw in a quarter cup of water, swill it around, pour it into your meal, pot clean. Put your bed on the other side. (A Berlingo has the door on the right) Less a chance of noise and being hit by a passing vehicle's noise and thump...Another point. You could actually hang up emmmm (What are they) not boxes but bags or something to stash your stuff/clothes in. So many people fall for the trap of installing drawers and stuff. That's really heavy wood! You are bringing your home life into a van. You are not (Letting go) of your (Not my words|) comfort zones...

If there is a poundland shop near you you can purchase cheap little lights which work really well if you buy more than one .They are white lights which are battery powered and are remarkably bright.

Citroen berlingo with a pop top
I have the Vauxhall version of the van with complete conversion. They are great vans to drive, can get under height barriers and are economical, Adam. I love Viv-i-van and the conversion I did in her.You can see the conversion on my channel. If you get one after 2017 reg they are ulez exempt! you'd love one! respect- Kenny
My advice to you on a van that size. I did one transit swb. If you are doing any converting or diy in it to make it into a campervan get one you can stand up in or every single job takes twice as long. Trust me i completely converted mine into a proper campervan
Lovely park up.
You should try and take out a Ducato, Relay or Boxer, all three are essentially the same shell. The massive win with these are you can fit a full length bed across the van side to side, so it feels much bigger. Also they are factory galvanised so just is much less of an issue than some vans

Get a Sprinter SWB high roof, that would be perfect. Youll have the head room but will fit in most areas if youre worried about length like idla car parking spaces 🤙

Have a serious think about van size, proper organisation inside the van could make the difference ,
for me I think a van that size properly fitted out would be better than a long cumbersome sprinter. RONCAMPING channel has the perfect sized transit

Maybe try and get a L2 Ducato/Relay/Boxer…maybe the right size and you can stand in it, and sleep widthways in all sizes of these vans
I recon you need a fiat ducato or ford transit. Possible aim for euro 6 engines for the ulez.

Get yourself a transit custom 2.2 tdci high roof,I just converted a 66 plate into a camper and I am 5'10 in height and can still stand up straight inside.
But don't buy one with the wet belt get one with a timing chain.
You'll soon be a real camper vanner😂
Take a look at the Vauxhall Movano (its a Renault Master) LWB van they are perfect for campers I have had a Movano for 5 yrs now love it I recently bought a Renault Master XLWB to convert over winter great vans Nissan also use the Renault as their van just badged different but all Renault
Was great to see you spending the night at a spot that's a 5 min drive from my house. I have a challenge? Maybe Halloween. But there are myths and legends around that area that NO-ONE local will spend the night. 😵. Cannibals, execution spot, murders in the 80's, witches and even mermaids, etc. I have a cheeky little book I can gift you by a local historian?

I love mine and an absolute pleasure to drive without all the hight and length to worry about or restrictions to enter the low barriers in car parks. etc.

The van has more scope for clever storage devices because of the shape.. fold away work surfaces, beds, washing facilitys etc.... Depends how much you want to spend.

Hi Adam, a mwb hi top sprinter is the way to go. You can stand up in one & there not to big for every day driving. The van you got in this video is the same body shape as a Vauxhall Vivaro but id stay clear of the Vivaro as they are prone to gearbox problems. Cheers Dave.
