My cover of the song that plays during the most spoilerific part of Super Mario Odyssey. Also includes bits of Peach's Castle, Super Mario World's Main Theme, Mario 64's File Select Theme, and Jump Up, Superstar.
During the entire Honeylune Ridge Escape portion of the game, I grinned like an idiot. The music definitely contributed to that, so I wanted to try some ideas out with that track.
All photos and footage were taken by me via the Switch's Capture Button. I included some of my favorite screenshots that I took through my 55-hour 100% playthrough of the game. This is my first time editing any sort of game footage together, I hope you like it!

I didn't play Earthbound until 2016 and I feel nostalgic when I hear its music, so sure!
It's entirely possible after all I was born during the late 80s and was not old enough to truly appreciate the sounds of video games until the 16-bit era yet it still takes me back every time I hear those old Atari sound effects.
That transition to Jump Up, Super Star was a very epic surprise. That is possibly the best merger of both songs from the game I have ever seen, and actually, the only merger of those two songs I have ever seen! Amazing!

I heard a few other covers and remixes of Mario Odyssey and the artist just played some of the OST with their style, ya know nothing out there. You however not just made a cool cover with a slick style, but added this really amazing twist that blew me away! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!
No, seriously. I don't care that this is my third time commenting on this video, this is genuinely one of the most severe cases of "holy shit, how does this man not have at least 10k subscribers" on the entirety of RUclips. You are so fucking good at music, especially of this variety, and even 3 years after this video was posted (and over 4 since the Switch's initial release), not only are the screenshots nice to look at and fun to think about how this was *YOUR* journey through 100% completing the game, but the audio quality is still STELLAR, despite how far technology has come in even just those three years. This video came out when I was *10.* I am now 13 years old and writing this message of appreciation in your comments section. The amount of love and nostalgia that clearly went into this cover's creation is incredible and infectious. I may have shed a manly tear or two, looking back on the fond memories this song brought to mind of all of the Mario games I've played over the course of my life.
As if the original work of nostalgia-provoking genius wasn't brilliant enough... This has raised it to the level of divinity. This has made me so happy today.

Obviously every single thing was beautiful, but if you need clearer feedback, then it's because I adored your instrumentation, your wonderful singing voice, and of course, the transitions between songs and various Super Mario tunes. Since you enjoyed it so much, did you also notice that most of the images/clips are directly related to the lyrics? My favorite was 2:51, where he's trying to race for the goal, but literally everything is stopping him.
:) I definitely noticed that. It took me a while, but when I caught on to how the visuals reflect the lyrics, I ended up loving this video even more. Seemed like a fun idea to me, which made this awesome video even better. Or at least, that's what I think anyway. In any case, I adored the thought and effort you put into both the visuals and the song itself. The sillier clips you used, such as how Peach's eye seems to glitch at times when you closed in on it, genuinely made me smirk. I guess I just appreciate a good sense of humor as much as I enjoy a good song.

It's a super important tune for me! I remember seeing the game at a friend's house for the first time in 1996, and when it booted up and that song started, I was instantly pulled in. It was the greatest thing I'd ever heard. Glad you liked it!
