Markus Ruhl is my favourite bodybuilder. He may not be the most aesthetic, but his boulder shoulders and cartoon-like size are just so iconic. His performance in the 2002 night of champions is unrivaled, I don't believe that anyone has come close to it.
And he didnt even have a bubble gut. Crazy conditioning as well in his peak years.
Dude his 99 olympia physique is my favorite and unreal. He got disqualified that year for diuretic use, can you believe that bullshit???? Anyway one of my all time favorites I don’t care if he never won mr O, he’s mr olympia in my book

Leider lehnte Markus Ende der 90er Jahre einen Vertrag mit Joe Weider ab obwohl er von ihm persönlich eingeladen wurde...

More like overrated: huge waist; biceps dominated triceps; quads overwhelmed his hamstrings; weak back; always watered down and never dry for contests.
His physique lead us to the trash that we see today.

@@xdarknight511 It was absolutely phenomenal. We trained shoulders and I couldn't even lift my bottle to my mouth to drink after the third exercise. Super nice guy, too.

We only did three exercises but those really intensely. Cable lateral raises, Shoulder press and rear dealt flys.
@Fenosyn He's actually a very down-to-earth and super nice guy. Gave me huge mentor-vibes. Very calm persona but once I was in a set, he pushed me just how I wanted and expected it. When I could barely move the weight up on what would have been my last rep, he said "komm, fünf noch" meaning "come on, five more" and helped me with the last 5 reps (best spotter you could imagine). On the last rep it felt like he was lifting it and I was only doing the movement. And it was like that set for set. You can see recent pictures of him on instagram or videos of him here on RUclips. From what I know, he's still 130kg.

I used to work out at a gym that Levrone went to. Really cool guy. Super nice. I always thought he deserved at least one win over Yates. If it wasn't for Yates having the best back of all time he would have imo.

@@eddieBoxer Muscle doesn't turn into fat. Doesn't matter how much muscle you get or how old you get. It's just that as your muscle starts to be less as you get older, you start gaining more fat as well. But it's not like the more muscle you get at a younger age will result in a higher amount of bodyfat when you get older. It doesn't work like that.
