I beat this with pretty close to same setup. Used the spinning sword and the vertical rockets. Nice to see others playing the game without building a tank with miniguns on easy mode

Kinetic Shotgun, Burst Rifle, Vertical Missiles and Plasma shoulder gun works for me on regular legs. Just have to be super aggressive at the first phase, moving toward the boss during missile barrages and dodge the heavy hits. Then I had to learn to back off to let it throw its fits on second phase before going close into r*** mode on it between fits. Took me like 5 tries, wasn't hard at all.

So it mostly just requires this pulse gun to eliminate the shields? Damn, that just seems like really bad boss design, requiring players use one specific weapon to defeat the boss.

I used plasma rifles and did it first try no problem

You can also use shoulder lasers/laser weapons and the sword to break the shield.

I did it with the submachine gun and the double 8 rocket back launchers. It can be done, but was a huge pain in the ass lol

Not really, i'm using bazooka and vertical rocket.
