@Lu Up Korean history, and relationship between China, and not to mention Japan.. its SO interesting. Its kinda like Scandinavian history, with Norway, Denmark and Sweden. Which in this case Norway is most similar to Korea, being the bouncingball between the two countries.
@Lu Up and if you look at traditional Danish stuff, and Traditional Norwegian... to foreign, unfamiliar eye, they are super similar, but there is a difference. though to us its newer, its not as ancient yet
@Lu Up yeah, it used to be pretty intense up here too... We just got lucky and it's not like that anymore... And as an outsider perspective. S-Korea is in such a unique situation with the whole intensity between neighbours and their North, it's so interesting to see the situation unfold. And hopefully in the future the south and north with become one and the intensity with the neighbours will calm more down. But until then, history is still unfolding. Daechwita is a music that's played during the arrival of a king in the past. Yoongi sampled the original daechwita sounds for this song, you can hear it clearly at the very beginning of this mv. 2:42 both japan and korea were influenced by china, but the setting is joseon dynasty in korea. Fun fact: 4 of yoongi's ancestors were queens, one of whom was a very famous empress known for her advanced political skill. The min family is known for their history as korean rulers and government officials so basically yoongi's portrayal as the king in the mv has some historical accuracy 🤣
I find it funny how many people do not associate ancient palaces like this to Korea, while Korea has many of them, all as beautiful, people often think it's china the design on the set of the King looks a lot like 경복궁 (Gyeongbokgung), a huge Palace located in the middle of seoul the throne room and its exterior are really similar to the king's room in there, I actually went to my old photos to look it back cuz it's super accurate it's indeed in Korea, there are palaces and traditional houses there too, even in metropolitan and modern seoul lol
No hate at all but I don't like it when Western people watch all the old/traditional Asian culture things and say that is China (do not count the chinese letters in 2:37)

"BORN A SLAVE BUT NOW A KING" Debut in a small and nearly bankrupt company BH, but now they rolling the World. BH the TOP entertainment company in S.korea!
yoongi is the grandson of korea’s last empress in yeoheung min clan so when i said yoongi king i really meant it because if the monarch is still ongoing in korea , he practically would be the king right now as he would be the crown prince . which is a heir to the throne of a royal or imperial monarchy . so yes yoongi royalty !
This MV is from a movie about a king ‘ kwanghae’ of Chosun Dynasty. Also, Korean architecture may look similar to Chinese, but coloring and the roof line are very different. For the Chinese characters, Sometimes Korean people use Chinese characters to clarify the meaning of the word, as Korean characters are phonetic, while Chinese characters have clear meaning embedded in them. Daechita is a music played for the procession when a King goes out of the palace.
China and Korea had similar cultures in the past, since China is a neighbor, but details of structure are different. That big structure is where Korean king used to live long time ago.
The consep of the mv is korean kingdom It looks like chinese but in korean style The korean culture in the past its kind of similiar with chinese culture
The background is korean traditional palace. Palace was built in Shila dynasty which is way before than corea or joseon dynasty. It is filmed in Kyeong Ju city. Though the story of Gwang He ( the mad king with scar face) in lyrics is from Joseon era.
#Some_infos He said in the lyrics that he has Gwanghae flow (( Gwanghae is king of Joseon dynasty who killed a lot of peoples . And there's a myth that he has been replaced by someone that looks just like him during this reign! )) August D killed the blonde crazy king ( the bad self of him ) so that mean the old himslef didn't change ! And Daechwita is korean traditional music style , played when the army is marching to war ( to inspire the military ) during the Joseon dynasty
Why are you keep saying "china"?? That's sooo annoying! BTS is korean🤦 MV definitely shows traditional Korean palace. I was also really annoyed when you said that MMA 2018 performance is like chinese culture..I still remember that... BTS always try to show traditional Korean culture,, NOT CHINESE As a korean, I feel really awful,,, Not all Asian countries are China😕 언제까지 아시아문화를 다 중국으로 볼건지...;; 알파벳쓴다고 다 영국이라 하는것도 아니면서 참
Idk why people think they are in China. BTS is so proud to show their Korean culture and music styles. This is 100% "ancient" Korea with traditional Korean outfits and music influence.
Just like Europe has similar architecture style but it has different style, Korea,China and Japan have similar roof style but if you look closely it is very different style and different architecture and the background is Chosun Dynasty which was one of Korea’s Dynasty. I understand Korea culture and history was not familiar than China yet to westerners but if you might have some interesting about Korea, you’ll find it is totally different country. However I understand you, because when I was younger I also did not know well about western architecture and culture. :) I hope we can be more close friends each other. Anyway I hope this might be helpful to you.
In Korean dynasties, people with scars could not ascend the throne, whether it be a king or a queen. If the crown prince had a scar, he did not receive the throne, and if the girl had a scar, she could not marry the king and become the queen That is, the presence of a scar implied the impossibility of receiving the throne, but King Yunga has a huge scar on his face in the video, and perhaps this means that despite the “scars” and the unfitness for the throne caused only by society, Yungi could still become king Just as he was able to become the greatest artist contrary to what many have claimed and are still trying to claim that he will not be able to do this True king, true genius, hell 🤝
This song is a Reference to A K-drama called Masquerade in 2012 Masquerade is a story of King Gwanghae, who finds a double among the common people in order to protect himself from the constant threath of assassination
it's not china, it's korea, all of it, v traditional, the background instruments, the clothes (except for the car scene), the set. Traditional Korean things are inspired from Chinese traditional things. And the text in the start was traditional hangul which is based off of Chinese characters. The era they're showing in the mv is joseon dynasty era which lasted for 5 centuries, that's why the mv is so traditional. And using chinese culture for an mv would have been cultural appropriation cuz daechitwa is korean word meaning a king's rally with loud sounds to tell everybody in the public that the king is out in the public.
3:46 you don't know how happy I was when you noticed Jin and Jungkook, this shows that you focus on every detail!!! and your reaction when you saw them is the cutest🥺💜
if you want to watch a historical korean drama, with traditional clothes, habits and environment you should watch Hwarang which is the drama where Taehyung acted with his friend Seo Joon, Hyung Sik and MinHo. you'd love the drama and you'd like it especially because there's kim taehyung at least it's more easier to watch. it was very popular but imagine if it was filmed now....the success....
Oh my god how many times should BTS or other K-pop artists release traditional Korean vive music more? They have released music so many times which has traditional Korean instruments and dance moves and props. AND STILL says like 'china'?? Seriously i don't get the logic they say like that. If it's only because of the chinese character from the very beginning, that still can't be an excuse. If south american or south African whatever people use English in their mv, then is it the UK vive? Absolutely no.

중국 아니 예요 한국 조선시대 입니다 china no!!!
The min family is known for their history as korean rulers and government officials so basically yoongi's portrayal as the king in the mv has some historical accuracy 🤣
me: about going to sleep
bighit: how about we release a new mixtape of agust d?
Me:sleeps and late and wake up and getting blast
I find it funny how many people do not associate ancient palaces like this to Korea, while Korea has many of them, all as beautiful, people often think it's china
the design on the set of the King looks a lot like 경복궁 (Gyeongbokgung), a huge Palace located in the middle of seoul
the throne room and its exterior are really similar to the king's room in there, I actually went to my old photos to look it back cuz it's super accurate
it's indeed in Korea, there are palaces and traditional houses there too, even in metropolitan and modern seoul lol
In Korea tradition, a king cannot have a scar but in this video, he is a king with a scar right? That shows how powerful he is.
Btw, the set is located in Korea. The place is famously used for shooting drama or movie
It's not china, the location is in korea, their culture is different yet similar
No hate at all but I don't like it when Western people watch all the old/traditional Asian culture things and say that is China (do not count the chinese letters in 2:37)
BTS are seriously kings, each one of them is so talented and inspiring
Fun fact is Yoongi is The grandson Of the las empress in Korea
He has Pure blood Royality running Through his blood
No 😂 it's Korea!
Aaron saying "what just happened?" is so relatable
"that's jin and that's jungkook ayyyy" WAS SO CUTE HAHAHAHA
This is no longer Suga,
this is Agust D
Periodt
How is Yoongi a.k.a Suga a.k.a Agust D from BTS from South Korea looks like China???? Just because they are asian (and we asians) doesn't mean we're China. 🤧
I guess its just the similarities between both cultures confused him, especially when he hasnt been exposed to ancient korean culture like u and me
as i am a Korean army.... those two are actually very different to local people.. of course ..yoongi's style is very strong(?i can't explain...lol) style of korean culture...and like a historical drama....i understand you to seem like Chinese style..but actually different....thank you to have interest in Korean culture~~^^
Why are you so negative and be so offended . I’M sure that he did not mean that. He don’t know asians culture and the fact that much look the same in the cultures it’s not that wrong.
As a fan of c drama and k drama i know there r lots of different but other people might confused i understand
When I tell people I'm a kpoper ( my American, European and west Asian friends) the first thing they say is * that Chinese girls u mean?* it's disappointing
"BORN A SLAVE BUT NOW A KING"
Debut in a small and nearly bankrupt company BH, but now they rolling the World.
KOREA~!!!!!🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷🇰🇷
You saw JINKOOK at first sight. I'm so proud of you.
대취타는 왕의 행차에 연주되던 조선의 음악입니다.
자신이 자신을 서로 죽이는 것은 아마 자신의 기록을 자신이 갱신해 온 것을 표현한 것이라고 추측합니다. ^^
??
your reaction in the beginning is my first reaction too HAHAHAHA
Jaw dropping😂👑
BTS = KOREAN BOYS. KOREAN. KOREAN.
It's historical Korea
This MV is from a movie about a king ‘ kwanghae’ of Chosun Dynasty. Also, Korean architecture may look similar to Chinese, but coloring and the roof line are very different. For the Chinese characters, Sometimes Korean people use Chinese characters to clarify the meaning of the word, as Korean characters are phonetic, while Chinese characters have clear meaning embedded in them. Daechita is a music played for the procession when a King goes out of the palace.
No it is indeed Korea during the Joseon era (which roughly corresponds to the Middle Ages around the 14 / 15th century)
Aaron, Daechwita is a song that is played when the king is present. also you said daechwita right the first time :)
So yeah Aaron trivia Yoongi has royal blood he is the great great ? grandson of a empress in korea so he is a King himself
Daechwita is ancient music they used to play before war
Or the king or other hierarchies appears in official events.
fyi korea has a dinasty too back then.. it kinda similar with china but still korean...
I love it when Aaron gets this excited!
China and Korea had similar cultures in the past, since China is a neighbor, but details of structure are different. That big structure is where Korean king used to live long time ago.
Noo it’s actually traditional Korean things so it’s Korea anyways i liked your reactionn🔥❤️
thank you 💜
Korea had letters hanja(?) too ( similar Chinese letters ), Japan too. but this time rarely used.
The palace in the Daechwita MV is Goryeo dynasty palace , Manwoldae. It's Korean traditional palace. Not chinese.
I love your reactions, Aaron , i feel it's honest
The consep of the mv is korean kingdom
It looks like chinese but in korean style
The korean culture in the past its kind of similiar with chinese culture
2:29 thats literally in south korea aaron lool but yeah the text in the beginning is chinese
Traditional Old Korea looked like this. A lot of historical drama in places like this.😊
Best reaction so far 🤣
Best mv so far...right? 💘 from Korea
The background is korean traditional palace. Palace was built in Shila dynasty which is way before than corea or joseon dynasty. It is filmed in Kyeong Ju city. Though the story of Gwang He ( the mad king with scar face) in lyrics is from Joseon era.
#Some_infos
He said in the lyrics that he has Gwanghae flow (( Gwanghae is king of Joseon dynasty who killed a lot of peoples .
BTS is korean🤦
MV definitely shows traditional Korean palace.
I was also really annoyed when you said that MMA 2018 performance is like chinese culture..I still remember that...
BTS always try to show traditional Korean culture,, NOT CHINESE
As a korean, I feel really awful,,,
Not all Asian countries are China😕
언제까지 아시아문화를 다 중국으로 볼건지...;; 알파벳쓴다고 다 영국이라 하는것도 아니면서 참
its not china why do all other reactors say its china not all cool kingdoms and stuff are all china jeez thats from korea
Korean palace, kpop, so korea
This song is a Reference to A
K-drama called Masquerade in 2012
Masquerade is a story of King Gwanghae, who finds a double among the common people in order to protect himself from the constant threath of assassination
daechwita is a korean traditional music which is only play when the king appear or soldier return with victory from battle
it's not china, it's korea, all of it, v traditional, the background instruments, the clothes (except for the car scene), the set.
I think the writing at the start is Hanja which was the original script before Hangul, it's based on Chinese characters.
if you want to watch a historical korean drama, with traditional clothes, habits and environment you should watch Hwarang which is the drama where Taehyung acted with his friend Seo Joon, Hyung Sik and MinHo. you'd love the drama and you'd like it especially because there's kim taehyung at least it's more easier to watch. it was very popular but imagine if it was filmed now....the success....
It’s look like China, but actually it is Korea traditional clothes, and the building is in Korea too
I have been waiting for your reaction since it was released💜💜
The whole album is amazing👏👏
Oh my god how many times should BTS or other K-pop artists release traditional Korean vive music more? They have released music so many times which has traditional Korean instruments and dance moves and props. AND STILL says like 'china'?? Seriously i don't get the logic they say like that. If it's only because of the chinese character from the very beginning, that still can't be an excuse. If south american or south African whatever people use English in their mv, then is it the UK vive? Absolutely no.
Exactly...so annoying
Chill it was just a misunderstanding... No need to be so harsh
I know...... it hurts
@@cheesecake6546 yeah on the other hand i kind of understand that foreigners who never heard or never exposed to Korean tradition can misunderstand. BUT aaron is not the case. And the thing is, if I'm not sure about what culture is portrayed, i would say nothing or search what 대취타 means first on google. There do exist some youtubers who act like that at least. :(
Omg! He is Korean and the MV is portraying Korean culture. Why would he film the MV in China? He is not Oli London who made a song called Heart of Korea and showed literally nothing about Korea.
BTS releases a new mv.....and the first thing I wait for...Aaron Freeman's honest reactions 😃😁👏 this song is fire 🔥😍
Jin and jungkook fighting at the back 😂😂
It's so nice that he actually knows so many infos of previous songs and videos
Please react to all mix tape with lyric translation 💜🔥
And this is Korea, not China 😅
The lyrics 'Im a King' is no Joke
Because Min Yoongi is from a Royal clan called
Yeoheung Min Clan,
Yeoheung Min Clan founder was Min Ching Do [ja]
차이나ㅆㅂㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
It's in the history of king Gwanghae in korea
