Hey Wade! What a gem!! That skeletal-style chassis is both cool-looking and unique. A big plus too that it has the pro shocks and beefier diffs. I believe you have had the car 100% fixed, that noise at the end was probably a worn out tooth binding up occasionally.
I think I’ve turned my last screw on this old girl - if I ever got my hands on another one I might go after that center diff/gearbox situation If only hirobo would join the fun and re-release a jealousy 🤔
It is a very unique buggy for sure! it looks cool and it ran around without smoke or parts falling off so I consider it a successful part of the collection! it was a hard earned run out there too!
Did you pull the motor and roll the car to see if its binding. Maybe the pinion mesh is to tight or its geared to tall. Could be wrong pitch gears or the diff gear is slightly to big if its from some other car and that would also cause binding. If it rolls freely once the motor is out then make sure the pinion gear pitch is correct and then set the motor with a little more play between the gears. I wish I could be there to fix it I like solving rc car problems. I have had a niche for rc cars since I was barely walking. They are the best hobby ever! I hope you can figure out what the problem is and then share with us what you found it out to be. Not a lot of videos of this car out there so please do more of them.
Seems like there is now little resistance in the drivetrain overall though if you try to turn the motor via the wheels it is kind of difficult to turn the pinion/motor which does make me think you’re right about the gearing being off a bit - it is the pinion that came with the kit so that shouldn’t be the problem. The ring/pinion ratios appear to be close to stock but I haven’t done the math on those. Perhaps a motor with more torque would handle the load better 🤷♂️
Love these buggies buddy. Thanks for sharing ❤
Me too brother thank you for checking it out 👍

@@wadeskelton7585 i love the look of the Hirobo Jealousy, definitely my cup of tea too! 😍
It's great to see a Yankee 1/10 out there turning the wheels. Thanks for sharing Wade.
If only for a moment 😉 thanks for having a look Jason!
The joys of vintage Rc. It is always a battle.
No shit right?!? Easy job turns into years of BS that’s the hobby to be sure 😄
Very cool car
Well it’s something right?? 😁

Hey thanks man it was a chore and it’s still bothering me a little but hopefully it’ll fade in a bit. I know you know the feeling 😉
Onward!!
Did anyone else go into the RUclips settings and bring up the playback speed to about 1.5? It sounded like this guy was on Quaaludes...😮
Touché Richard you got me 🥱
Sure is a good looking buggy. At least she got to stretch her legs a bit. Thanks for the video.
Thanks brother it certainly wasn’t the run I was hoping for after all this time but it will have to do for now - thank you for checking it out 👍

Not to many of those around.
Probably because they’re not very good 😂
Does it have 3
differentials?
It does indeed!
