@@NewnameSameme I had to watch it when I saw the title and cover picture! I wondered why the person was in the tender too..... then I reallised they had its motor running and so were side towing - well pushing! With a boat that large! And the man was helping with the quant pole too! So fabulous to see! We have so missed these boats! Really need to come for a holiday again on the Broads when we can, but meanwhile we are loving your videos! Especially the ones with the boat engine sounds on..... oh the disel engine sounds just takes us back! And some of the sailing yachts from Anne and Nick Whelptons (if I recall?) yard at Acle!! Oh how we loved those boats too!!!
Thank you for your very kind words. I’m so pleased you enjoy them. I loved the quant pole, hardly seen these days. I’ll be at Ludham tomorrow, so I’ll get some engine sounds for you. 😀🛥⛵️
I first saw Albion on the Broads in the early 70s during family holidays. I knew there were two trading wherries, but had forgotten the other is called Maud. Great to see them both looking so well
Aww thanks Bob. Just have the stamps with me at all times 😂😂😂 I’ve a second video from today but it’s not ready yet. Let’s just say it’s another “right time, right place” moment 😉 It will be on the other channel sometime tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Fantastic to see two trading wherries sailing together. I bet a lot of people thought it would never happen again. The last time I saw Maud she was still on the hard at Eastwood Whelpton's yard at the end of Upton Dyke. Great to see her in the water again, especially when you see the state she was in when she was first rescued. Loved it Lisa 😊
New name same me. I was on the Maud today as you filmed us, great to see you caught both Wherries, as you say a very rare sight. Why don’t you join us on our next trip? Hope you don’t mind if I share this video on the Wherry Maud Facebook page? Thanks
Hi, wonderful video today, I have seen Albion a few times and Hathor at How Hill but never seen Maud on the rivers. we will be keeping a look out for her.
I remember the Albion being punted down the Ant. 2 of the crew jumped on our boat as it went past. They probably didn't have a choice due to the narrow waterway. Didn't they have one in Martham that caught fire and was destroyed back in the 80's ?? Lovely video as always by the way.
Thank you so much I’m glad you enjoy them. Funnily enough, I’ve seen the The Albion again today but at Ludham Bridge today. I’m not sure about the boat at Martham but I’ll try and find out for you.
@@NewnameSameme just did a little search..... My old home 'Bramble', whose mast became the starting line for races at Beccles, later became a houseboat at Martham, firstly afloat and then ashore. She was sadly burnt out in the 1980s when a paraffin lamp overturned.
@@NewnameSameme it was about 11 o'clock we had to wait to let alot through, I was standing on the steps of the boat blond hair flying everywhere 😂 awww hope we made onto the video been dying to catch you up there x
I’ll look when I edit it and let you know 😀 it was very windy. Lots going on both sides of the bridge. I looked so bedraggled 🤣🤣 Did you see the Albion Wherry ?
@@NewnameSameme yes we past it after it came through the bridge, a few boats were stuck behind it, we weren't long after that, we had to wait to let a few through x

So lovely to see the wherries! A privilege indeed!

How lucky can you get? I thought that I was lucky to see one in May but two, close together? Your magic again, no doubt. ;o)

Fantastic sight seeing both Wherry’s in full sail. I’ve seen the Albion before but never Maud, so thanks for an amazing video.
You are very welcome, glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching ⛵️⛵️

That’s so sad. Well done finding that information. Thank you.

Just came through on Sovereign light, was that you on the bridge? Xx
Yes 👋🏻 I’m Ludham Bridge , or was . Too much sun and too many boats 😂😂 so I’m now going home. Hope I’ve got you on film. Have a great time 🛥
