  • On 11 July 2022, we commemorate 65 years since His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan became the Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims. In the 1400-year Muslim tradition of leadership, an Imam, whether Shia or Sunni, is not only concerned with interpreting the faith to those who refer to him, but also leading efforts in improving the quality of life of his community and all those amongst whom it lives. To the Ismaili Imamat, "quality of life" represents a holistic vision that encompasses the entire ethical and social context in which people live. It drives the work of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a network of development agencies founded and guided by His Highness the Aga Khan, to make vulnerable populations self-reliant and improve their quality of life.
This film celebrates the work of the Ismaili Imamat in Pakistan through the endeavours of the Aga Khan Development Network.
